Per comment below - agreed. I popped and had a glass night 1. Showed a little tight. Recorked (no nothing - just put cork back in after pouring a glass out. ). Night 2 - much much better. Still plenty of runway. Floral nose. Red fruit on palate. Nice finish. Had with food. Very yum

Massive. Lots of structure. Tannins a go-go. Cranberry and cherry on the nose. Some fruit on the palate. Wine clearly has much more runway. See you again in 5-7 yrs.

delicious - very precise. no oxidation, just very pleasant. lots of minerality - less fruit. soft mouthfeel and somewhat acidic. notes taken after a few hours, but would recommend opening this now if you have a few bottles. not in a bad spot.

My rating score is arbitrary- pls ignore it. It means nothing. I had tried this wine a few years ago and found it all backwards and messed up. On a lark, i opened a bottle this evening (PnP) and found it delicious. Stony fruit. Good minerality. A reminder that a little bottle age can really make a difference. Look forward to trying my remaining bottles over the next decade. Enjoy

This is terrible wine. The 2012 Clos du Bourg is the maligned stepchild of what had to be a challenging vintage for Huet. It is worse than its cousin, the Le Mont. I recently used this for cooking and am not certain I would do that again. Avoid at all costs. As I mentioned in my note on the Le Mont, I really question the merit of cellaring this wine. In the coming weeks, I will be tasting the 14 and the 16 Le Mont and Bourg and will post notes on those. I don't normally post, but I wanted to get this out there for those in the community that have these bottles that might be relishing them for later. They are not worth the space in your cellars. Kindly...M

This wine is really bad. It's not as terrible as its cousin, the Clos du Bourg, but it's just not good. Huet missed the mark in a meaningful way in 2012 and I question the merit of laying these down for long term or buying at all going forward. Avoid or drink now.

Wow. Spectacular. Wish I had waited with the rest of the case. Mature. Voluptuous. Feminine. Lovely. Dark fruit. Brooding. Drink now.

wine lacks any grip and has devolved into what I characterize as "raisin wine" - just overly fruity - tannins gone. meh. also - bear in mind my palate has evolved in last 5 yrs towards more acidic less alcoholic wines, so please temper judgment. I simply did not like it and wish I drank it and it's remaining brother younger. reminds me of a CdP from a hot vintage (04 comes to mind) and just lacks structure. I do recall really enjoying my last bottle so perhaps some variation, but suffice to say the next bottle goes soon.

Just starting to show signs of life. This wine is still going to take some time in bottle. Really good right now, but still young.

I would echo CAMWHEELER's comments here. A lot going on 2.5 yrs later. Tremendous depth and finish. Really good wine. Glad I own more!

So light - so fantastic. I think that this one still needs a little more time in bottle and a little more air than some of the other vintages I have tried. But man - this wine - absolutely sings.

Very delicious. Clearly in the zone. Opened up nicely. Would suggest PnP. Lovely nose. Some nice tannins on the palate, and really bright stone fruit on the finish. After a few hours, tannins came off and wine was a little rounder / soft. I liked it more in 1st 2 hours than in last 2. Yum yum

Lovely perfumed spice and fruit and the nose. Stony fruit on the palate. Definitely a lot of grip, but was approachable. Would happily drink more now or continue to cellar. Delicious.

really good. pnp. just fine right now. as of 2015 - the 09 vp is still closed. lf anyone knows different pls post me. this wine is swinging outta the gate, but seems to have more structure than the regular "irancy" to go the distance. will enjoy remaining 3 bottles (hopefully) over next 5y

delicious - stand alone - PnP - strong cherries on the palate. delicious nose. really nice, but I think patience will reward the mindful steward of these wines. I would look to revisit in 2018 at the earliest - while it is VERY enjoyable now, I reckon the best is yet to come.

I have to disagree with the previous comment, and will have to presume that perhaps they had a bad bottle. This wine right now is showing lovely. Nose, palate, finish - all ON. That said, I would concur in that this is probably not getting materially better with much more age - but wow. Very pleasantly surprised

very balanced and approachable now. rich nose, stony fruit on palate and long finish. If my christmas tree had not toppled over when my mother in law was over, I think I'd like it a tad more, but it really is nice. I think this wine has structure to go the distance and, while approachable now, would benefit from 5 years in the bottle. See you in 2020 - if I am lucky enough to be there.

Totally in the zone. Great crystal clear ruby color - no dimming on edges. Opulent nose, and beautiful midpalate finish. Very nuanced flavor with some earth tones, and also good fruit. Lovely wine right now. Also - noticing that the village 05s are starting to show better than the 1er and GC relatives (been disappointed there of late).

wow. insane all around. nose, palate, finish.

color is great too - there's definitely some fight left in this dog as far as ageability goes. don't be shy about drinking now, but there's plenty of tannin present to suggest it could age longer. wow

Good. Not great. I was expecting more. Soft - with few tannins present. I will be rolling forward my drinking window on this one, as I really didn't see anything that made me think it would age more. It's in a fine place, but just not what I expected.

wine still seemed a little young. not very familiar with this vintage, but know it's not a rah rah one among the critics. Last bottle of mine, but were I to have another, I'd sit on it for a year or two.
