Very very good. My first bottle of 6. Classic Pessac-Leognan. Reminds me of Pape Clément. Just entering maturity but with at least a decade left. See this improving. Very curious about the 2015 I have.

Very nice Pinot noir. Absolutely drinking fine now. Won't suffer from a few more years in the cellar. Predominantly red fruits with medium high acidity and fine tannins.

Spectacular bottles. Both in excellent condition. Super tertiary notes. Some earth, faint leather and menthol. Needed a good 2 hours in the caraffe to open up. What an experience!

No alternative for the pleasure that this beverage brings. Brut. Rose. Special cuvees. I love champagne.

5 years since I first opened a bottle. Massive improvement. Impressive nose. Fruits bursting out of the bottle. Still quite tannic but not interfering with the overall drinking experience. My guess is that this will reach its plateau in 3-5 years. Lovely.

Syrah monster. I always love the wines from Northern Rhône in the winter. Masculine, powerful yet refined. Bold with fine but present tannins interwoven with thick blackberry fruits and white pepper. Delicious. Double decant and slow oxed for 4hrs. Awesome.

I'm lucky enough to have tasted this half a dozen times in the last 2 years. There's quite some variation in between bottles. This was extremely good. Blew me away. 2002 as you expect it to be.

Gift from my colleague Piet. Decanted 2hrs.
Unrecognizable nose. Not Burgundian, not from Bordeaux. Not from Piedmont, nor from Tuscany. Not a Napa wine and not Australian.

Some cinnamon, light spices and blue fruits. On the palate medium bodied, medium tannins but high alcohol and high acidity. Very elegant wine with on the palate again cinnamon, some wood notes and blue and black fruits. But still it confuses me. But I like it a lot!!

Immediately after opening the bottle I was struck with an amazing nose of deep dark fruits. Wow! Poured one glass into a caraffe, as I wanted to give it plenty air. After 1h, a bold majestic wine emerged. What a monster of a wine. Delicious dark fruits interwoven with spices, backed up with firm but well-mannered tannins and medium acidity. 45s finish as a nice extra. Stored in the fridge and consumed over 3 days, with continuous improvement, suggesting this has a very long life ahead! Chapeau to Mr. Chave!

Confused by this wine. Nose is clearly Merlot, but the secondary and presumably tertiary flavors scream Cab sauvignon. Despite the label indicating Cabernet franc, I do not find its typical green characteristic notes found in Bordeaux cab francs (Angelus). In the end it reminds me of the 1985 La Mission Haut Brion. Both taste and nose. Which is a good thing, cause this is probably 10 percent of the price....lovely wine, absolutely amazing! Got from Faaf.

We went a little nuts. Drank this after opening with a Dom Oenotheque '96 and a Keller G-Max'09. Feet in the pool. Kids playing and enjoying themselves. Pizza. Best wine I've ever had.

Amazing GG from KPK. Incredible balance is what strikes me most. There's a perfect harmony between the tension created by the acidity and the flavors : citrus, honey, and the typically petrol. Very good. Also very young.

Lovely crowdpleaser. Opens with a ton of fine bubbles. On the nose delicate red fruits, straweberries and rasberries mainly. Lovely freshness and balanced acitidy.

I drank this bottle on the day I buried my mother. On the day our foster son celebrated his 8th birthday. During the horrible Covid-19 pandemic. All my emotions were intensified by this glorious champagne. Though far from the epic 2002, this was a magnificent champagne.

Rest in peace my beloved mother. Happy birthday my son.

I drank this on the day my mother passed away. She was 72 years old, died of glioblastoma. She loved champagne and could drink it every day of her life. Rest in peace my dearly beloved mother!! I miss you every day.

Enjoyable light rosato. Peachy pink colored. Fresh and fruity, with raspberry and faint citrus. Good for poolside drinking.
