Drank at Costata, restrained but very approachable, classic pucelles bouquet. Beeswax, glycerin and meyer lemon. Still young but thoroughly enjoyable. Thx David.

Solid bord, classic nose of wet grass, graphite and cedar. The wine for the first 45 minutes had excellent balance. After that the finish was a little thin. Enjoyable especially with the right food.

Wowza, this had everything going in the right places. The nose alone was intoxicating. In the mouth rose petals, cherries and hints of cognac and truffle. The wine just got bigger and bigger. Last bottle bummer.

Victory a bottle of 2000 that was not premix. This wine was in the perfect place. Really showed its terroir. Superb minerality, luscious in the mouth with hints of glycerin and beeswax.

Drank with OT at B Fare, MONSTER, for a 95, this was spectacular. The nose was intense full of blackberry, roses and violets. In the mouth the Beze showed its femininity, silky, smooth, opulent yet totally understated. The finish was loooooong. If you have these bottles in cellar lucky you!

Drank with OT and B Fare, I love this champer, tonight i was good but not terrific, the nose had some funk that needed to blow off. In the mouth, wine had great crispness and terrific balance. Need to open another bottle.

Drank in LV, I liked this wine but it was not a stunner for me. The nose was good not great, perhaps an off bottle? In the mouth the wine was silky and smooth but just did not possess anything that made me ooze for more.

Drank with OT in LV. Wonderful bottle and in the perfect place! 00 Vintage continues to shine for me, great pinot nose, cherries galore, in the mouth wine bursts with a kaleidoscope of flavor, terrific acidity and length, if you have these drink the now.

Drank in LV with OT. This was good a solid effort but not the usual stunner this village bottling normally is for me. The wine did not have the power or finesse, a little nutty on the nose and the finish was a tad short.

Drank at BS Rhone dinner. The nose on this particular bottle was quite funky to start, bacterial, stilton blue cheese. The wine came around by the end of the night but never hit full stride.

Drank at BS Rhone dinner, my WOTN. Gorgeous nose, rose petals, cedar, and hints of cherry. Each sip the wine got better and better and you could tell this wine came from a solid CDP producer. The finish was text book CDP with delightful hints of white pepper. Still enjoyable now but I suspect this will be even better with extending cellaring. Thx-WTT

Great nose, deep floral component and hints of clove. Silk comes to mind in the mouth, the wine had a very feminine component which i liked. The acid was there but certainly muted. I don't think the wine gets better but its drinking quite well.

Bambino-This wine has the goods to be really spectacular with some extended cellaring. Amazing nose of anise, truffle, black cherries. The tannins are still very firm but having decanted it the wine drank beautifully. It was extremely balanced. Can't wait to revisit this bottle in 5 years time and see where it is.

Drank with OT, SOLID, Fantastic old world bord nose, hints of graphite, violets and a touch of gravel. In the mouth the wine was complex and had terrific secondary layers of tobacco, chocolate and a little cedar. This particular bottle was in superb shape, the only problem was my glass was empty rather quickly.

Drank with OT, One of the first 2000's that I was not particularly fond with. It has great classic Chambolle nose -but in the mouth it disappeared quickly. The wine did gain some weight with time, but I expected a lot more.

Drank with OT, Rocking Rav, Great nose stone fruits, slight hint of glycerin. In the mouth big wine, unctuous, very viscous, motor-oil like and right at end of a sip little hints of meyer lemon. Still has plenty of life left but you won't be disappointed opening a bottle now.

678 Italian dinner, I guessed that Giacosa made this wine, however I was quite surprised when I learned the vintage. The wine was lean in the nose and in the mouth. The fruit was there but not the power you would have expected from a 1996. The wine had good balance and Giacosa silk, but it was just very advanced. Thanks Dan.

678 Italian dinner, Deep dark maroon color, looked younger than its age would suggest. The bouquet was full of licorice, mushrooms and truffle. In the mouth the wine exploded with great power and finesse. The finish was long and superbly balanced. The wine got bigger with time. Last bottle bummer. Brava Gaja

678 Italian dinner, The wine came out the bottle very cloudy with an almost unfiltered look. Never judge a book by its cover. The aroma was full of cedar, deep tar, black cherry and hints anise. In the mouth the wine had great fruit and good amount of acidity. Each sip the wine got better and better. A real treat! thx WTT.

Opened and poured, could have benefitted even more from some decanting. Real stunner, sexy nose with aromas of earth and truffle. The wine bursted in your mouth with flavors of black cherry. The length was surprising for a 1er cru. Could benefit from a little more cellaring but anyone opening it now won't be disappointed.

Opened along with 88, much to my surprise I very much preferred the 88. Perhaps the 90 was too young to compare, it had great deep violet color. The fruit was still very primary. A good glass of wine just not what I would have expected from 90 bord. Will wait a couple of years to open another no rush.

Decanted for about an hour, Wine is in a lovely place. Edges have some orange peel, the nose full of cedar ,tobacco, leather and light hints of mint and chocolate. The wine had surprising length to it. I really liked this wine even though my heart is in burgundy.

Drank out of Mag, took about 30 minutes to loosen up, once it did go Dagueneau! Superb minerality and crispness. The acidity was just right and the length and linearity of the wine continued with each glass. One more mag left bummer.

This was a bit of a surprise, being a fan of this cuvee. The nose was loaded with raspberries, almost a kir royale-ish. The wine had nice acidity but the finish was quite short. Perhaps a bad bottle??

Great winemakers make great wine. This Maison offering was delicious with a captivating nose oozing of cherries. Wine was well balanced and a delight in the mouth with a formidable length. If u can find it drink it.

Drank at 15 East with OT and Sam. Perhaps this was just too young to drink. The acidity was over the top, nail-biting. In the mouth, it left you parched for water. Perhaps with time this will get better.

Drank at 15 east with OT and Sam. This bottle had all the hype of a prize fight in Vegas. Not the case. Either it was an improperly stored bottle or the was in a bad place. The color was great. But the nose was very funky almost stilton blue cheese/medicinal. In the mouth there was fruit but no power you would expect from Rousseau CSJ.

Drank at B Fare. This wine really took me by surprise. The nose was superb-tons of cherries and roses. The wine was in such an ideal place great balance. In the mouth it was true delight had considerable length for a 1er cru. I know many terroir driven burg lovers love Volnay especially from Lafarge, I now know why. This would be a great bottle to bring to blind tasting.

Drank with OT for his b-day at B Fare. This was my first bottle of Lafleur. i loved the nose more than what it tasted like in the mouth. Violets, rose petals, cedar and tobacco. The wine was well balanced and enjoyable, but did not blow me away.

Drank with OT for b-day at B Fare he brought this. Anytime I get the opportunity to drink LT from a good vintage I nurse every sip. This was surprisingly open with a kaleidoscope nose. Loaded with spices, black-cherries and a hint of chocolate and mushroom. In the mouth it was a delight. The wine gained weight and become more powerful as time passed. I only hope OT has more left this wine has year and years to go before its full potential.

Drank with OT and crew @ Frankies out of a mag. MONUMENTAL. Finally getting these tasting notes inputed 2 years later-I can still remember this wine. The nose alone was incredible- gravel, limestone, and graphite really illuminating unique terroir of HB. The color was deep deep burgundy, the edges were barely faded. The fruit was still there in force. The finish was long and stayed around, still a bambino Thank you Ian for sourcing.

Drank with OT and crew @ Frankies. Chambolle is my favorite region in burgundy and when I drink a solid Amoureuses on reinforces my love of this region. The nose was so floral and at the same time vibrant. The only negative about the wine was the finish-it was short and quickly disappeared. If you have some left drink up!
