This bottle was at the back end of it’s drinking window with dark cherry, a bit of chocolate & plum, some leather and stewed fruit flavors. Tannins completely resolved and super smooth finish.

A gorgeous bottle to celebrate my very long awaited first hole-in-one . perfect blend of cherry, vanilla leather and tobacco. The graphite/iron flavors stood out for me as I made a 'blood?' comment while tasting. silky smooth and long

Bottle 1 of 3: 2hr decant and drank 1 night after a stellar 2003. It's good but just needs more time to really develop and shine. Will wait another 10yrs for the next

Pop and pour on the first glass and decanted and finished over the next 2 hours. Intoxicating nose that filled the glass. Mouth filling flavors of dark cherries, leather and coffee that stayed surprisingly consistent thru the evening. Lacked complexity but was silky smooth, lacked with a decent finish

30 min of air and drank over 3 hrs. Classic LB Bdx nose and flavors of cassis, graphite. earthy cherry, cedar & leather. Just a touch of age on rim and light on the palate in the first hour
but gained strength and weight over the next 2 hrs. Medium+ finish with just a touch of tannin showing late. Very good now but could go a few more yrs.

30 min air and drank 3/4 of the bottle over 3+hrs with the remaining vacuvinned for night 2. 2nd bottle and quite a difference. Much more subdued flavors that just wern't popping out of the glass like the first bottle one week prior. Minimal matchstick that was gone quickly and some earth, mushroom and tart cherry. Acidity wasn't as prevalent and there was just a lighter feel all 3hrs on night one than first bottle but gained more weight and integration on night 2 that had this in a much better place. This was 88+ on night 1 and 90+ on night 2.

half a glass with 15 min air was way too early with a lot of matchstick (wanted a sip before i left for the evening) so I then let the bottle sit open 2+hr. Bold flavor mix of matchstick, mushrooms, tea and tart red fruit. Light to medium body that was a touch thin on the mid palate but I enjoyed this lightness with such a strong and varied flavor profile and good acidity. Vacuvinned 1/2 bottle and finished over 1 1/2 hrs 2nd night. Matchstick was gone and the remaining flavors were much more subdued with a bit of weight gain..still very enjoyable. very little tannin for me either night.

2hr decant put this in a really good spot. Nose makes you think this is big but there was nothing overbearing. Flavors and mouthfeel were all balanced and just floated over the palate in harmony. Still a some tannin to suggest a good run ahead. drinking very well

Was getting some dark red fruit with a touch of oak and tobacco in the first hour along with a touch of band aid.. but after that it just fell apart was like I was licking a beach ball with the wine inside and with a couple small holes where I could just tell what the fruit and flavors on the other side were supposed to taste like if the beach ball taste wasn't there...
