This was fully mature delicious Monbousquet! Classic Right Bank nose with blueberry, blackberry, cherries, currants aromas, with leather, tobacco, smoke blended in. Palate is medium body, soft black fruits, currant preserves, secondary flavors of leather, tobacco, cedar and nearly fully resolved tannins and balanced acidity. Long finish. One of the best vintages of this chateau I have tasted. Prime time drinking!

Very extracted, fruit forward Cali bomb, overall fairly balanced and tannins are well integrated, but lacks grace and multidimensional characteristics of its counterparts at the same price range. Best with food, a bit overwhelming on its own.

Minimal decant, nose is fragrant and typical Margaux with currants, cherries, flowers, licorice, and coffee notes. Palate is mostly smooth although there are still quite a bit of edgy tannins. Will be better with time. Finish is medium to long.

It’s dark ruby in color, extremely fragrant, fruit is stil abundantly present but lord of secondary characteristics, old leather, truffles, vanilla, coffee, anise and black pepper. This is outstanding Saint Emilion from northern neighbor of famous Chateau Pavie!! Took 30 min to open up. Dark purple with classic nose of dark fruits: cherries, plums, currant jelly, figs, leather, licorice and truffles. Roach and profound, palate is medium to full body with prominent black fruit and truffles, with notes of licorice and mocha. Tannins nearly resolved and integrated, juicy acidity. Long finish. 94 pts but begging for even higher rating!

Delicious CDP, very dark violet color, quite concentrated, dark blue fruit, violets, chocolate, licorice, camphor, vanilla and garrigue on the nose. Palate is full bodied, tannins are still potent, but good acidity and balance throughout. Would benefit from a bit more aging but already drinking well. Medium finish. 91 pt now but shall improve with age

Excellent aged Troplong-Mondot, corked was intact and only 25% done. Slight bricking, ruby red, nose of barnyard, licorice, currant preserves, plums, cherries, tobacco and truffles. Palate is exception, medium body, lots of sweet black fruit, kirsch, cherries, plums, licorice with the touch of spice and excellent acidity. Everything is in the good balance. Tannins are still alive but barely, well integrated in the wine and support balanced structure. Finish is long over 45 seconds. Prime aged right bank drinking!

Beautiful bottle of well aged Bordeaux. Cork was about 90% done. Interestingly fruits on the nose are mostly red, such as currants, cherries, raspberries but also tobacco, earth, dry leaves, floral note, vanilla. Palate is delicious along the same flavor profile as nose, with beautiful secondary characteristics, still present acidity and beautifully integrated delicious tannins which support long fine finish. I wish I had more of them
