The acidity is the dominant factor in this wine. It is good now but will improve with a couple years of age.

Quick review here because didn’t take notes during the virtual tasting that was organized by the Chicago Club.

Really nice wine. Acidic with some modest tannin. Pronounced red fruit. Very good wine right now but will improve with age. I probably wouldn’t open this for another five years.

I had previously had this in April of this year. I opened tonight for a virtual tasting organized by Hedonism in London. Review is basically the same as the previous one.

Med ruby color.

Aromas are pretty restrained (neither primary, nor tertiary) without much going on. The wine is still developing.

Dry, med(+) acidity, high tannin, med alcohol, med body. There is a light flavor intensity without any flavors breaking through. Med(-) finish.

I’m not sure if this wine is going through a dumb phase or what. The tannin really stands out, not because it is overwhelming, but because of the absence of everything else. I wouldn’t drink now. I think it will get better but it is hard to tell because its current state is lacking.

Medium ruby appearance.

Med(+) aromas of black fruit, leather, tobacco and graphite. The wine is still developing.

Dry, high acidity, med(+) tannin, med alcohol, med(+) body. Med(+) flavors of black fruit, leather, tobacco and graphite. Med(+) finish.

This is a very good wine. You can drink now but I think it will continue to improve with age. I really enjoyed this but feel the wine isn’t fully integrated and the higher acidity is pronounced. I think more time will allow for the component parts to be a little more integrated.

bought a case of these. opened up one to see where it was. not doing a full review.

very good wine but still young. however, it is clear that this wine will be quite good with age and I'm very much looking forward to revisiting in 10+ years when the tannin has faded a bit and all the elements are a further integrated.

Med ruby appearance

Initially dominant VA presence that diminishes, especially the next day, but still hard to smell much else.

Dry, high acidity, low tannin (after letting it breathe). Med flavors of red fruit and rhubarb.

VA was overwhelming at the beginning. After that, especially the next day, the wine was very good. I'm uncertain as to what a little more age will do to the wine.
