Really nice Pinot. This will be good for at least another 7-10 years if you can keep your hands off. Beautifully balanced. Deep, complex flavors. Nice finish.

An excellent Napa cab. Dark garnet color. Dark cherry and cocoa on the palate. Tannins smooth but very evident. Beautifully balanced with a long finish. Drinking well now (decanted for an hour). This will still be drinking very nicely in a decade.

I tried a bottle of this 14 months ago and was very disappointed. Pleased to report that this bottle was excellent. Dark ruby with no bricking. Slight barnyard and petrol nose upon opening. Decanted for a couple of hours. Dark red fruit on the palate with secondary vegetal, leather notes. Very balanced. Nice, complex finish. A very fine bottle of wine.

Drank with family on New Year’s with Maine oysters. It was splendid. Apple and bread on the nose. Very complex and lovely on the palate. Apple, pear, mineral, fresh bread. Beautifully balanced and evolving from first to last glass. A real treat.

My last bottle of this superb California Cabernet. Wonderfully integrated, smooth, long finish, gorgeous red and black fruits. This is a benchmark for Cali Cab. Awesome.

A very nice Cabernet offering by Sojourn. Beautiful dark red fruit nose with a little earthiness. Round and smooth on the palate with nice balanced structure. Dark cherry and dark blue fruit. Smooth, lingering, pleasant finish.

Very nice Sojourn Pinot. Subdued floral nose. Strawberry and cherry on the palate. Fruit forward but not cloyingly so. Moderate acidity and tannins. Not particularly complex but decent finish.

A very light, thin Pinot with a strong, pronounced smoky nose and palate. No improvement day 2. Possibly a flawed bottle. If not flawed, this is definitely not a Pinot style I, or those who shared the bottle with me, enjoy.

Lovely Cabernet. Decanted for 3 hours. Beautiful deep purple. Pleasant floral nose. Black cherry and a bit of mocha on the palate. Round, smooth, balanced. Drinking well for a young cab.

Tight upon opening but evolved into a very pleasant, balanced wine. Stood up favorably to a more expensive older Rioja in virtual blind tasting. Excellent QPR.

Just ok. Very linear, simple. Few if any secondary or tertiary flavors. Expected more from this bottle. Will wait a couple of years and try again.

Beautiful floral nose. Garnet/deep purple. Rich, deep and intense. Lovely deep raspberry. A bit intense at first but after 5 hours in decanter smooth, round and luscious. Long, pleasant finish. Glad I have a few more bottles. I don’t think this wine has peaked.

Delicious, bold, smooth Hewitt Cab. Decanted for four hours and continued to evolve throughout the evening, including the nose. Very round and balanced. Dark fruit - blackberry, hint of caramel. Drinking beautifully now. Will continue to age well over the next 3-5 years.
