Still a bit tannic and young. Needs a couple of years.

Clear, ruby with floral, nutmeg and red fruit aromatics. On the palate sour cherries and lip smacking acidity calling you to keep coming back. Lovely wine and rather elegant. Drink next in a year.

First experience with Rhys and Wow!!! Decanted for 1 hr and the floral aromas and baking spices filled the room. On the palate a burst of red fruits and spice linger on and on with a medium bodied and beautiful mouthfeel. This is delicious now and look forward to the next bottle. Elegant and well made.

PnP - Not much giving way on the nose. On the palate, pleasantly surprised with the beautiful velvety texture and dark fruits on entry. On the finish this turned a bit harsh and became harsher as night went on.

Incredible nose of cherries and pomegranites. On the palate this was elegant, silky with the same cherries coming through along with stone and minerals. On the finish a bit too much acidity for my palate.

Decanted for 1/2 hour. Nose was subtle and subdued. On the palate big wave of sour cherries, acididty and slight vinegar. The acidity was overpowering and masked the fruit.

Should have decanted. PnP nose of plums, black tea and black raspberries. On the palate same dark fruits with nice concentration and lush mouthfeel. Still quite young. Nice surprise that over 15% no noticeable heat.

Last bottle :( This has changed since my bottle a year ago. Heat has dissipated and this is just so smooth and silky and rather easy drinking with a burst of starwberries and cream on the finish. Very nice!!

First of my 3 bottles opened. Holy chocolate and vanilla popping out of the glass. Darh fruits, smokiness medium bodied and tannis are present. I did not decant so I think that would help integrate the tannins a bit.

Should have opened these in the last year. Fruit is fading as compared to my last bottle in Feb '10 and barnyard funk has intensified. Acid has made this now disjointed. Will try remaining bottle tonight and see.

Cherry and baking spices. Smooth and silky with a touch of bitter tannins on the back end. Open next in a year or decant. NOTE: This was much softer and fruit popped on second night.

On the PnP - awesome nose of cherries, earth and raspberries. Initial attack on the palate is beaming freshness and red pure fruit that was really nice. Transition from mid to finish showed off the acidity that became the standout componenet. This needs to be dacanted and will benefit some cellaring. Can't wait to see how this evolves.

Really enjoyed this. Dark Ruby in color. Nose of baking spices, black cherries and a bit of funk (in a good way). Surprised by the light to medium weight on the palate. Lovely balance of cherries and acidity and the finish lingers for at least a minute. Well done.

Extremely dark. Opened for 1 hour. Nose of currants, black cherries, vanilla and alcohol. Flavors match the aromatics with nice upfront acidity that accentuates its freshness. On the finish the oak and alcohol just take over and still needs time to come togther. Hold on remaining bottles.

PnP - This seems to be improving since my last bottle 6 months ago. Nose was a mix of blackberries and sone barnyard funk which I kinda like. On the palate dark berries, light to medium body and a bit chewy which settles with time in the glass. Overall I think this is a great QPR at 10.99.

I can smell this for days. My first thought was that this smells like fall. Cloves, baking spices and earth. Beautiful pure red fruit on the palate with spices and toasty oak. I like this and think the oak and acid will integrate even more in a year or so and make this an even better bottle for my palate.

What a difference from a year ago. Nose of dark fruits and somewhat subtle, but on the palatae dark fruits have become more pure/concentrated and spice is now in the mix. Unlike a year ago this has smoothed out and is quite delicious......Next day was even better with fruit much more pronounced.

Salmon in color. On the nose peaches and a nice floral aroma. Palate - was caught off guard with the minerality as I have been drinking more fruity rose's this past summer. I really like the balance of strawberries, peaches and minerals. Well done.
