Pinkish gold in the glass. The nose has white peaches and fragrant flowers. The palate has a flowery honey attack transitioning to a Meyer lemon acidity on the finish with an almost tannic dryness.

Visually youthful with barely a hint of bricking. On the nose, light black currants, not too jammy or concentrated. The palate is also fairly light, dominated by black currants, low acidity and weak tannins quickly vanish on the finish.

Six years since last bottle. This is still plateauing. Tasting notes similar to previous notes with barely perceptible decline. This is very impressive for a wine recommended for only 8 years of ageing.

Very similar to previous note, with richer depth and wonderful mouthfeel. Good now, might last a few more years still.

Beautifully aged nose, with black olives, dark plums, a bit of cedar. The palate also shows some age, but no fatigue. This is still very well balanced but it is at its peak and will slowly fade over the next 5-10 years.

The Sauvignon Blanc is still very fruit forward, withpassion fruit, peaches and white flowers. The palate is very pretty, echoing the nose with just a hint of a buttery finish. The acidity balances everything out. At its prime.

Nose shows some jammy red currants. The palate is a bit more evolved with the fruit transitioning quickly to mushrooms and woody spices. Tannins are round and mostly disolved balanced by very medium acidity. Just past the peak.

Light caramel apples with a touch of popcorn on the nose. The palate has a slight crisp apple on the attack that quickly transitions to butter and grilled corn notes. The finish is a nice balance of acidity and butter notes. This is beautifully youthful and seems to be destined for a few more years at its peak.

At its peak, the tannins have disolved and now balance the acidity and the alcohol very nicely. This should be very good over the next couple of years and decline slowly afterwards.

Comfort in a glass. The nose is all dried figs, vanilla and warm spice. The palate is practically a mirror to the nose once the initial strawberry attack fades. Elegant tannins and acidity make for the complete package that always delivers.

The nose is herbal with hints of game. The palate is still explosive with rosemary and thyme on the attack, transitioning to black pepper and vivifying acidity. The finish still quite tight with drying tannins balancing the acidity.

The nose is all inky plums. The palate is also quite plummy, with a rather large mouthfeel but very well integrated tannins balanced by a fair bit of acidity. The alcohol is not particularly noticeable though it does give ample texture and good longevity in the throat. At the perfect drinkable stage!

Some red strawberries on the nose but the alcohol burns just a little on the finish. The story is similar on the palate, as if the grapes developed too much sugar and not enough matter. Not bad but not great either...

Beautiful evolution. Petrol is still upfront on the nose but layered with notes of pineapple and peaches. The palate is also surprisingly rich in tropical fruits with a mineral backbone and clean acidic finish balancing a fair amount of sugar as well. Time to start drinking over the next couple of years.

The nose shows some age, with notes of dark slowly stewed plums. The palate is also aged with the fruit being more on the stewed side than the jammy side. The texture in the mouth though is pure velvet with tannic and acidic structure but no astringency. Paired beautifully to braised beef short ribs in an orange-cocoa sauce. Drink now!

Fairly expressive nose, with violets, warm leather and a hint of black pepper. The palate is dense, with dark plums, jerky, pepper, dissolved but assertive tannins and good acidity. Very good now and could probably stand another 5 years in the cellar.

Beautiful, rich nose of stewed strawberries, woody spices, even a touch of oak. The palate is just as rich and complex, balancing the still vigorous tannins with cutting acidity that indicates much longevity left in the bottle.

Richly layered nose with white fruits and flowers, hazelnuts and cane sugar. The palate is also interesting but the medium acidity on the finish seems to indicate that we are at peak and this will now slowly fade.

Nicely evolved. The nose is deep dark plum jam with hints of mushrooms and woody spices. The palate is as elegant with the initially jammy attack giving way to tender tannins and a creamy texture on the finish. All is perfectly balanced between medium acidity and integrated alcohol and tannins.

Sour cherries, roses on the nose. The palate is on the sour cherries, but this is complemented by a velvety texture that can only come from aggressive tannins that had time to dissolve. The finish manages to balance the brutish 14.5% alcohol and the still noticeable tannins with a good amount of acidity. This is a bottle that could age another 5 to 10 years easily.

Very evolved. Deep golden colour. The nose reveals apple sauce with traces of walnuts. The palate is rich apple sauce with walnuts before transitioning to crisp acidity on the finish. This has aged very well but won't get any better. Drink now.

Lots of reduction upon opening the bottle, let breath a good 15 minutes, either in the glass or carafe. Once it clears, the nose is full of dark plums and black pepper. The palate is fairly elegant and well structured, with dark fruits up front transitioning to woody spices and finishing on a perfect balance of alcohol, acid and silky tannins. No jam on this australian jewel. Drink now and the next year or two.

Beautiful nose of melons, passion fruit, geraniums, extremely aromatic, fills the room upon opening. The palate is nice, with fruits echoing the nose. Acidity is medium and the wine benefits from being served a bit colder, 6-7°C. Don't wait, drink now.

Nose of dried plums, thyme, and warm woody spices. The palate starts on dark, very ripe plums, moving to ripe figs and ending on tart blackberries with hints of oak and a slight bitterness reminding me of black tea. The finish is slightly thin. Good now but probably on its last legs.

The nose is not overly expressive at this time. The palate does show some black currants, blackberries. There is still plenty of tannic structure on the finish that is nearly balanced by the acidity. This is showing promise for the future but is still relatively young. Revisit in 5-10 years.

The nose is all plum jam at this point. The fruit on the palate has dulled a bit but there is still plenty of texture and just enough acidity to keep things interesting. I'd drink now or in the next 2 years max.

The nose is relatively muted, with notes of stewed apples and warm pecans. The palate has evolved with most of the crisp fruit being replaced by stewed notes. The acidity on the finish has also subsided quite a bit with just enough remaining to keep this wine honest. Drink now and no later.

The nose has developed a strong black pepper component with jammy fruits. The palate is also interesting with a bit of jam black pepper again coming through and light acidity and tannins on the finish. I wouldn't wait any longer to drink it but still holds interest.

Nose is classic Bordeaux with plenty of red currants and rich woody notes on the backend. The palate is just as classic, adding refined tannins and medium acidity to round out the finish. The has barely started to age, and it has many decades to go.

Buttery green apples on the nose, with woody spices and corn. The palate is vivifying, with cooked green apples upfront that transition to butter and grilled corn finishing on almonds and lemon acidity. This is quiet a trip and I can only see this evolving in the coming decades.

Slight carbonation on initial opening. The nose is delicate white flowers, lemon rind and a hint of toast. The palate is initially on crisp lemon rind, transitioning to slightly toasted corn complemented by chalky and crisp acidity on the finish. Aromatic and direct, very nice end of summer drinker.

Typical Bordeaux nose. The palate shows a little evolution, with well integrated tannins balanced by medium acidity. Drinks very well now and will last a few years, but I don't see it becoming an amazing wine.

Very fruit forward on the nose. The palate is fairly clean with just a touch too much residual sugar for my taste. Who said cheap wine can't last a few years in the cellar? But I don't see this getting any more complex in the next few years.

The nose is fairly discreet with hints of lemon rind. The palate is more assertive with lemon rind, a somewhat evolved mid-palate with white flowers and a touch of butter. The finish is rounded off lemon acidity.

There is no masking that this is an oxydized wine. The nose is popcorn, hazelnuts, with a hint of green apples. The palate echoes the nose, adding notes of maple syrup and great acidity on the finish. This is a wine that could go on for a few more years in the cellar but that drinks beautiful now.

A beautiful blend. The Cab Sauv is dominant with the spice of the Syrah and the tannic structure of the Petit Verdot in full demonstration (the other grapes add depth and character). The nose has red currants, a touch of pepper and a bit of leather. The palate is still complex with solid tannins and balanced acidity. This is a wine that will last another 10-20 years easily if not more.

Beautiful nose of black currants and tobacco. The palate starts on black currants and blackberries transitioning to some oak elements. The finish is high in acid but nicely balanced by tannins and keeping the 16% alcohol in check. Good now and for the next 5 years.

Nose of dried red currants, hints of tobacco. The palate shows some evolution, as does the colour, but the tannins on the finish are still very much present. Give them a few more year to fully dissolve.

The nose is dried figs, cedar and leather. The palate is figs up-front, transitioning to a mix of cedar and spice in the mid-palate and concluding with a balance of acidity and well integrated tannins. The texture is medium thick which is just a tad disappointing to a palate spoiled by Gran Reservas.

The nose is a mix of fruity sweetness and savoury complexity. The palate is just as interesting with notes of cranberries on the attack, transitioning to dark cherries then cedar and just a touch of black pudding. The finish is an elegant balance of light acidity and and medium tannins. Beautiful and ready to drink now.
