Very impressive house wine. Vibrant salmon pink in glass. Nose of strawberry and raspberry. Med + flavor intensity follows the nose. Effervescent bubbles and high acidity. I def plan to buy more.
Rosé champagne session by Asparagus at Maison Dakota. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, reddish pink colour. Thin legs. Frothy bubbles. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of fresh pour brioche, strawberry, SinalcoRosso and apple, stony minerality. Developing. On the palat, dry, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of brioche, strawberries, Sinalco apple, and blood orange, background peaches, sweet spice, stony minerality. Medium+ finish. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Dosage 6g/l. Disgorged Nov 2020. Very good quality. At first feels a bit too frutti-tutti, but shows more depth and character with more air.

This is a wine I've come back to several times over the last few years, and it's very consistently excellent. It always benefits from 20-30 minutes air and from not being too cold.
A striking bright salmon orange-pink in colour; the nose is crisp, minerally, tart red fruits. These follow to the palate, which is tangy, very refreshing, redcurrants, unripe raspberries. The finish is a little drying, rather more-ish and quite long.
This is pretty good QPR at the ~US$39 that I paid.

An nondescript rose. Just ok overall, I do not see the fantastic Galloni 93 points and comments in anything this particular bottle shows. The most obvious aspect was a strong bitter and unpleasant aftertaste. Again, it may be this specific bottle, bought at Zachys on 11/30/2022.

Nice rose champagne. A dark, rich shade of pink. Medium-plus body with heavy strawberry and some toast mid-palate. A little more fruit than I like in my champagne but it’s a tasty and well made wine.

A very serious rosé from 40+ year old vines on average, from grapes from 3 consecutive vintages plus 30% reserve wine: hence multi-vintage rather than NV. 2 years at producer's cellars + 5 years in my own cool cellar result in a wine of great finesse. Strawberries and raspberries on the palate. Very fine mousse. Delicious.

I had high expectations for this wine given it's imported by Kermit Lynch but it failed to meet them. One of the darkest roses I've seen, almost blood orange dark. Plummy and rich but offering no real complexity in its depth of fruit. Simple and would be a buy around $25 but not at $40.
Opened by Mark. Disgorged Aug 2013. 85% Chardonnay and 15% still Pinot Noir. The vines average 40 years old and are located in the southern end of the Côte des Blancs in the town of Vertus. 6.7 g/ltr of sugar. Rose orange color. Notes of sharp cherries and minerals. Crisp bead. Full bodied and dry on the finish. 90 points

The colour was a little synthetic to our eyes, but we didn't let that put us off. There was a fair amount of flavour from ripe fruit with savoury tones stopping this from being the strawberry and cream type, it's got mouthfilling mousse and finishes beautifully clean, I liked this after about an hour or so of being open, interesting, I wouldn't mind this again in a little time

Pink with orange overtones. Full bouquet of brioche, almond skins, sweet jam and citrus. Fine mousse. On the palate, it is mouth filling and long. Sweet berry flavors balanced by lemon rind, orange, and toast. Long pleasing finish with no bitterness. It doesn't seem that the sweetness results from the dosage, but rather from the ripeness of the grapes. Very, very well made.

Opened on a whim because sometimes you just deserve a nice sparkling rose champagne. Both of us immediately remarked on the body and heft this has put on since we last tasted it about three years ago. Round and full, with plummy red fruit and still bracing acidity. Twenty percent Pinot noir evident in the nose and on the palate. Gorgeous coppery pink color with an intense, persistent mousse.

Quite a deep colour, on the extreme pink end of salmon. The smell and taste are alike: with moderate acidity, plenty of creamy-chalkiness, and a hint of rose petal fragrance. A very nice style of rosé, nothing out of place, but not terribly distinctive. Slips down easily. [Cork + cage; 12% abv; ~£22/35cl, Fortnum & Mason]

Ex cellar. Tasted with Charles-Henry Fourny. Gorgeous red fruit, fantastic pure ripe raspberry. At the moment it is all about the beauty of youth. Maybe it will merit an outstanding score with some bottle age, maybe it should be enjoyed now, in all its rosy youthful glory.

Non-Vintage Bara, Lassalle, and Veuve Fourny (SF Wine Trading Company): Bright pink color. Wild strawberry, high toned, floral aromatics. Medium weight, tangy fruit with lively acidity, dry finish. Very interesting, but at the same time, pretty exotic. I'm not sure I'd want to drink this with food.

Tech G's Birthday Bash (Reno, NV): Pink color, aromatically full of red fruits and minerals, no strong malo notes, moderate amount of lees character, hints of oxidative handling... quite serious in its aromas. On the palate very firm, moderately fine mousse, quite dry (lowish dosage), more crunchy than creamy (not much malo)... Balanced wine with good length, great intensity, average complexity... great finesse, a very fine texture, classic expression of place. Quite a nice sparkler... serious but not too serious, fun but not too fun, firm but not too firm, dry but not too dry, etc... nearly "outstanding" for me.

Kermit Lynch Champagne, Languedoc and Loire Releases (San Francisco Wine Trading Company): Dark pink. Startlingly black fruit Pinot nose but then wild strawberries in the mouth. Low dosage. JAMET Cote-Rotie vertical 1996-2000 - plus a few Champagnes: Packaged in a brown bottle, this is a very pale colored rose. Nose is grapey and primary, with yeast and a whiff of sulphur, which the person who brought it said had not been present in previous bottles opened recently. Light and fairly acidic on the palate. I would like to retaste this one to see if this bottle is representative...

Farewell Party and a Lunch to Consume the Leftovers; 10/22/2005-10/23/2005 (Home in Tokyo): Nice light tawny pink rose color with fine and fresh mousse. Nose starts with the slightest hint of red berry, then moves into stone fruit and a little citrus. Behind all of this is a complex layer of toast (not yeast) and sunny warm mineral. Palate just screams structure with the darker spine of pinot fruit combining with nice but round acidity to keep this strong and fresh. Apricot and light berry notes form the core of the fruit. Finish picks up a bit of creaminess which smoothes out the big structure. The bubbles are there all the time, but this presents much more as a nicely balanced wine that happens to have bubbles. Complex and pleasing, but probably needs a few years for a little more integration. Another good buy in Tokyo terms at $36.

12% pinot noir. This is really good. Savory, tart, earthy pinot fruit in the middle of a bunch of bread dough. Hard to resist.

Lovely pink fuchsia color; light strawberry, shortcake, and mineral backbone--limestony chalk; medium body, good pure fruit with excellent acidity, fine bubbles, and structure; medium finish; not a deep wine but very pleasurable. Fermentation of reserve wines in old oak barrels.

Bright pink with medium size bubbles. Nose of tart red berries. Dry, linear, minerality with excellent acidity and a few strawberry notes. Precision and acidity stand out. Not for everyone but clean, pleasant and didn't tire the palate whatsoever.

Low dosage. Assertively dry mineral finish. I don't know when this was disgorged, but from this bottle, it could have used some time to knit together. Pretty dynamic rose though.
