Popped and poured at a restaurant. A little tight at first but some nice black cherry and plum lurking underneath with a bit of leather and cedar cigar box trying to come through. Similar flavors on the palate with medium+ to high acidity and medium+ tannin. There is a lot of promise here and probably 93+ point upside in a few years. Happy to let most of my remaining bottles sit for a bit.

Briefly this needs lots of air; I double decanted and then began to drink 3 hours later and it was only an hour after that that things started to smooth out and come together. So if I had another bottle of this I'd decant at breakfast to drink with dinner.
With air it's a decent brunello - nicely balanced fruit, acid, tannins but definitely still a food wine. OK, but not great QPR at ~US$37.

Pop and Vinturi. Earthy nose, definitely old world, with some cherry and plum. Med+ tannin but with a creamy mouthful so not obtrusive. Med+ finish is very nice, carrying the red fruit with a hint of licorice.

A round and creamy style. Ripe and round red to purple fruit. Some earth/manure. Quite a sweet nose, lots of mocha, vanilla, and cream. Good wine, but not my preferred style of Sangiovese.

Purple red hue, medium fruity aroma. Subtle first brunello taste, dark fruits of cherries, currants. Dry middle and finish, long linger of black pepper and herbs. Decent wine from a great year.
