Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • 2004 Brunello di Montalcino (Scopri): Lou brought this along as a curio for the group. Tasted blind, most were thinking this was from somewhere in the late 80’s or early 90’s. Showed some browning, but generally quite solid colour. Stinky, and while it suggested being corked, did open up and blow off and was fine, if a little tired. Great to see an aged BdM amongst all the young wines, and although this one would be been better 10 years ago, it was a rare treat.
