Still growing strong. Next time this needs at least a 2 hour or more decant. Very tight and even a bit bitter at first, but opened up nicely after an hour in the decanter and then 10-15 minutes in glass. At belated bday dinner with J and C at Rionne XIII. Went really well with food!

Took a while to open up in the decanter and now drinking nicely. Notes of wood, leather and holiday spice. Substantial tannin keeps me coming back for another sip.

Consistent with previous notes. Out at dinner with Rices. N unfortunately on back medicine so only had a small taste. Definitely benefits from a half hour or so decant. Very much still alive and drinking beautifully.

Really elegant nose. Faded line of acidity. Great tannin. Really well-balanced, but missing character. Powerful and dense, richness in the middle. Grippy tannin.

Still drinking nicely. A bit closed at first. Opened up nicely after an hour or so in the glass. Drank with a crowd so will not rate. But these are drinking very well right now.

(Silvio Nardi Brunello di Montalcino) The Nardi was well-made but not my thing. A little too chunky and not much finesse. Good Sangiovese character but was expecting more. Maybe the most overated vintage in Montalcino ever. Hot does not mean good always.
