  • Stood up 2 hours before out of cellar. Pnp at local Italian restaurant. Mature Brunello in a good place. Mushrooms, sour cherries , earth and spice dancing in my glass. Still good red fruits upfront. Good secondaries and plenty of structure to handle the bolognese fare. Great alone to start and good with our dinners. Definitely softening up several hours into the meal but still enjoyable. Maybe it is my drinking less as of late, but this wine was in a great place tonight..

  • Had the balance of the bottle Coravined last week… at the 30 minute point the nose on this was amazing. It was rich and complex and soaring. Red florals, black cherry, leather, chocolate, herbs…palate was nice too but the bouquet was captivating. A lovely with a grilled lamb loin chop.

  • Unexpectedly found this bottle in my cellar since it wasn’t in my inventory. Coravin pour. Dark, nearly opaque garnet color. Nose is slightly oaky with chocolate, tobacco and cedar with just a hint of black more than red fruit. Deeply flavored and richly textured. Fruit is blueberry, black cherry, cassis and jammy pomegranate. There are also some minty and herbal elements on the palate with slightly noticeable alcohol and a much thinner finish. More later after it gets a little air.

  • Double decanted for sediment 2 hours prior to drinking. Mod sed. Mild bricking. Mature Brunello in a good place tonight. No flaws.

  • Deep granite in color with breaking edges. Nose of been cherries, leather, and hint of earth. Taste of cherries, plums, tobacco, and hint of dark chocolate. Medium tannins and nice acidity. Good balance and in a nice drinking window. Drink now and over the next five years.
