Drunk at Beef Bar in Hong Kong - If there is an age where mature Laville doesn't impress, I am yet to find it. Characteristic lanolin notes, good acid and balance.

Laville Haut Brion Blanc Dinner (Tocqueville): Ginger. Saffron. Overripe tropical fruit; mango. Some smoky beeswax. Big sulphur and reduction. I wasn't as impressed by the '59 as most people and preferred the '52.
