  Very nice intense wine. Took some time to open-even 22 years- red fruit, earthy smell and taste. Leather, mushroom- umami taste.

  So transparent, tar, graphite, fresh black and red fruits, sour cherry, garrigue, pepper, leather, earth, wet stone, some farmyard. Lots going on. Medium body, airy and lingering. Still youthful. Hard not to love it's Bourgogne-like elegance. 13%abv.

  Just beautiful with lamb tangine at Howard's. Very elegant feminine version from what was supposed to be one of the worst years in the Northern Rhone. Turned out to be a little beauty !! Ugly duckling syndrome!! Happens all the time with the great producers!!
