Yes, good stuff indeed - a little more austere than the 06 but still a delicious wine which shames many CCs such as Leo Poyferré - the CDM is so much better. Typical CDM silkiness and power.

Very enjoyable, far better than I expected. Like the 06, but with a little less intensity midpalate. Plums and blackcurrant on the nose, with Asian spices and herbs, then a creamy, silky blend of plums, blackcurrants and dark raspberry, very elegant but with good body and length.

My last bottle. A lot deeper than the bottle of tuscan consumed before but sadly had to be rushed a little due to early closing hours in the restaurant. Black fruit and a touch of cigar box and cedar. Very smooth drinking but felt surprisingly heavier than the Poggio Antico Lemartine before it despite being 1.5% abv less

Winespecials Wine Evening (Restaurant Waldhorn, Kirchheim, Germany): Glass: Gabriel Standard Popped and poured. Clear, deep ruby color. Clean, medium intense nose with some fine, dark fruit, some green pepper. On the palate some good tension, green, unripe notes, medium(-) body. Drinks well, but nothing really exiting here. 88
