  Tame nose that smells like mature old claret, clean, slightly smoky, leather. Palate is perfectly intact with juicy acidity, faint greenery, some plum. Speaks quietly but lovely.

  I had this bottle with my wife for Christmas. I didn't expect much, but the wine was there from the start. The cork could be removed in one piece. The wine showed great fruit, freshness, length and juiciness. My wife thought we were drinking from the eighties. We didn't use a decanter because the wine convinced us when we tried it. Great wine. Great bottle. Quite similar to the 1970 we drank a few months earlier. 93+
