  • 1.5Litre bottle. Clear ruby core of moderate intensity with a moderate red/brown rim - some bricking but still looking like a teenager. Clean bouquet of cedar, earth, minerals, plum with some herbal and slightly gamey notes - mature and moderately intense aromas. Could have nosed it for hours - great bouquet. Dry with moderate tannins (fully resolved), acid, body and alcohol - extremely well balanced. Flavours of moderate intensity of black fruit, damp earth and minerals - amazingly balanced and wonderfully deep and dense. A superb bottle at it's peak but it could have been cellared longer had the wish been there - definitely on the holding plateau. This is why Bordeaux should be cellared.
