Shared with the Jacobsons at Copine. Wonderful well aged nose with a round flavor with a perfect balance of fruit and tannin. Some notes of cherry and light amounts of coffee.

DNR. Drink these up. Dying even for a lover of mature wines. Note a few days later so limited thoughts. Consistent with past bottles. Dumped second half stored overnight in a 375, which I didn’t expect to last as before.

82 Bordeaux (Piccolino, Liverpool Street Stn, London): A touch of sweetness and fruit on the nose. The suggestion of raspberry ripple isn’t as daft as it sounds. A touch of oak too.harmonious though, and nothing overdone. A touch of leather on the finish. Very good. ****

Already starting its slow decline into senility. I know, who isn't? Much more interesting on the completely tertiary nose, with its forest, floor, truffle, thyme, coffee bean and plummy nose, than on the medium bodied, soft, silky, polished, spicy, earthy, plum filled palate. I bet this was a much better wine 10 years ago.

1982 (A vintage dream); 4/21/2022-4/23/2022 (Hotel Jean Jacques Rousseau, La Neuveville, lake Biel, Restaurant des Bains, Avenches, Switzerland): This one is compared to the predecessor bottles more on the light side of Bordeaux,
very , very elegant, but for me a little too light,
maybe it is the competition problem right here tonight
