Bottle elegantly wrapped in silk paper, PnP, diam cork, 14% Alc. Dark cherry color.
Nose: Heart cherry, very pleasant.
Palate: Freshness, Pinot Noir feeling. New wood can be tasted, but already very fine integrated. Good concentration, cherry flavors. A Bordeaux all about elegance with lots of Burgundy associations. A really joy and exciting to consume, 92++.
Since Parker lost his influence on Bordeaux, there has been such a great and diverse development of different wine styles to the very best. Simply amazing to follow and incredibly exciting. This wine is no exception. You can and should purchase Bordeaux again as I will do with La Gaffeliere in 2022.

Union Grands Crus Bordeaux (UGC) 2020 Tasting (Hangar 14, Bordeaux): A bit dialed back vis a vis other St. Emilion's which might pay off in the end as this has good balance. Stylistically quite different. Good tannins on the finish.

Tasted at a 2020 vintage UGC tasting in Singapore. Cherry, warm spices and some vanilla.
Anticipated score when fully mature 92-94pts.
