Tired old wine. Crystal ruby-clear in color. This tasted fresh due to the balanced acidity, but the fruit was pretty much gone. Some cherries and light complexity. Enjoyable.

Red apple to apricot nose with slight baking spice, chocolate, coffee, smoke, peas and stonedust. Medium bodied palate of good tannic posture and lively acidity. Ripe fruit with some raspberry brightness coming through. Dusty oak, graphite, tar and salt liquorice. Long. Structurally at ease and still packing enough brightness to the fruit. Beautiful!

Allow to breathe in the glass a few minutes. The wine opens up. There is some tar, roses, of medium length. An enjoyable glass of fully mature Barolo.
