Even though a difficult vintage, this is showing quite well. Missing a touch of intensity and precision you might expect in a knockout vintage, but still very enjoyable. Preserved stone fruit, exotic fruit, honey, vanilla and spices. A big and rich wine but with enough acidity to ensure it's not cloying. Very enjoyable.
Deep gold colour.
Pronounced aromas of peach, apricot preserve, caramel apple, mango, candied lemon, crystalized honey, botrytis, honey comb, nutmeg, ginger, vanilla, white flower and a hint of hay.
Pronounced palate.
Medium (+) body, high acidity, lusciously sweet, long finish.
Golden; aromatic, hints of saffron, peach, floral; palate is medium bodied, medium-plus acidity, medium-plus alcohol, peach, apricot; finish is medium-plus length. This would easily improve for 2 decades. 92+

A: Pale gold N: Pronounced Intensity. Lychees, pineapple, mango, vanilla, smoke, cloves, dried apricot, dried orange peel, ginger, nutmeg P: Sweet, high acid, medium alcohol, full body, pronounced intensity, long finish. Superb balance between sugar and acid ensuring the sugar is not cloying.Length and intensity are superb and complexity on this developing wine represents over 5 clusters from primary to secondary and tertiary in nature. Outstanding quality wine and the sugar and acid will keep this fresh for a long time while the primary and secondary flavours develop further.
Pretty obvious what this one was. It is ($50/bottle)
