Young and a little inexpressive at this stage. Not much in terms of signature Leflaive reduction. Fruit is very tropical. High acid here too. Hopefully this Assad some weight and power, although it is already ten years old. At least it’s clean and sharp.

Not blind This time I preferred CM, most of the drinkers vice versa. BBM was a bit behind. All 3 great but not the concentration of D'Auvenay BM 2013. Nice evolved, reaching their peak but no hurry.96

PnP. Very tight and flat. Needed time to open up (about 30 min in the glass). There are some hint of lemon and zest. Unfortunately, it remained tight until it was drunk up in 1.5 hours.

Domaine Leflaive made disappointing wines in 2013, a tricky vintage that resulted in early harvest. Most 2013 are classic though some earlier harvest wines have white peppery note. Tasted blind - Slight reduction but more restrained than the expressive Raveneau Montee de Tonnerre shown beforehand. Blunt tree fruits with racy acidity. Generous Grand Cru palate that resembles Batard Montrachet, except Batard is generally more “heated” and rounder. 2014? Criots Batard Montrachet? (90/100)

Needed a lot of air and with time, in a large glass, really showed well. Still a little tight, but fine acidity and solid body. Wait with consumption.
