I was not as impressed with this bottle as I had been with my first. Fairly muted nose of cherry and violets. Tannins were smooth and pleasant after a 3 hour decant. Leather, earth, cherry/red fruits. Good mouthfeel and finish. A very nice bottle but it really lacked the wow factor I expect from a $100 bottle. Still, everyone enjoyed this and it held its own in a great group of wines the 7 of us consumed on a pleasant Sunday afternoon.

Dinner at Enoclub in Alba. Basically brown. Mature nose. Leather, clove, cedar dust, dried oregano. Leather entry, some fattiness to the palate, a rocky mineral streak to the finish. This wine is made from the Rose "subvariety" of Nebbiolo, which is in fact a different but closely related subvariety to Nebbiolo altogether!

3 hour decant . The wine needed a lot of swirling to produce a faint nose. Still quite tannic but in a very good way. Lots of violets tar cherry and earth. Great mouthfeel and long finish. If this would have had a decent nose I would have given it another point. Still, very nice barolo that was my wotn.

Color: medium-light garnet Nose: well the evolution here makes it hard to pinpoint the bouquet. It definitely shows violet aplenty, tar and leather, but also a lot of porcino mushroom and tomato concentrate. At times, anise and mint, and dry roses pop out Palate: high acidity, high tannins. Medium body. A big wine that is balanced but also very assertive. I get so much violet and sour cherry, with leather mostly Finish: long
Well this is 10 years early, it needs some taming. I love younger nebbiolo though when I am going for a polenta so here we are. This is so compelling with a nose that changes on you by the minute and what I would rate to be a sort of immortality given the towering structure. Min 4 hours slow ox now, decant too. Very eager to see in 10 years!!
