Gave this an 8 hour 'Audpuze' and it benefitted greatly. The nose was in tertyiary teritory, with notes of smoked meats, pine needles and undergrowth. It had honeyed sweetness in the mouth coupled with some savoury Gevrey sauvage character. It was just mid-weight but nicely balanced and thoroughly engaging. Structural elements are relaxed and length very decent.

Chapelle-Chambertin Dinner with the Lieu-dit Cru (The Bristol - Chicago IL): Open approx 2 hours before serving. Elegant red and black cherry, nicely mature, with good concentration that got deeper and more intense with more time in glass. Very long, very elegant, even if not a classic Gevrey powerhouse.

bright red color, cedar, tobacco, rich black cherry fruit on the nose, more of the same on the palate, bouquet improved during dinner, very silky and elegant, delicious, rich mouthfeeel, medium/long finish

Blind tasting with Mike, nose of smoke, almost tobacco, and tea, more of the same on the palate, lovely taste, medium/long finish. Needs four or five years in the cellar.

Fully mature, showing tons of tertiary nose, quite rustic.
