Popped and poured. This is quite satisfying, very smooth and fully resolved but still fine tannins holding its structure. Ripe and bold but with fine acidity. Fragrant nose of purple flowers, black currants, black olives, thyme and a hint of pencil shavings.

Absolutely what you'd want for left bank from 02. In my opinion this is on level ground with 02 Mouton, which I've also had recently. I'd say if you prefer fruit and more primary, this is probably peaking right now. If you prefer the tertiary funk, then feel free to sit on it longer. Either way, its still in a nice place right now.

Medium ruby with a touch of garnet around the edges. A nose of pronounced dark cherry with damp turned earth. Wonderful. A youthful freshness keeps my nose in the glass. Medium sweetness with medium plus acidity. The tannins are soft and resolved. Lovely complexity with a weightless quality that makes it so easy to drink. My last bottle. This will last longer for sure.

Drank this one almost 8 years to the day from the last bottle. Bought this to celebrate my daughter's birth year which was cool, although she does not like red wine---yet :) Anyway, this 21 year old claret is ready to enjoy now. Hints of strawberry, mushroom and earth tones, but nose not as pronounced as I would have guessed--maybe the off year? Tannins are nicely integrated and this will last several more years, but not seeing it get better from here.

Surprisingly good. Blackberry and boysenberry, fine minerality. Dusty attic, tobacco, blood, iron. In full stride; open now.
