Aroma of macerated red cherries and cedar. Tastes of red cherries, reminiscent of griottes, with a hint of brown sugar midpalate, ending with some green spice and black pepper in a lengthy drying finish. Expresses Anderson Valley garrigue. With aging, spiciness and peppery tannins have come forward a bit relative to the fruit adding some complexity. I find this intriguing and quite satisfying in its 11th year.

A beautiful, classic pinot with notes of spiramint and sage on the nose and red berry fruits on the palate. Medium bodied and very nicely balanced, perfect for the table as this paired fine with a variety of fare last night at Table 34.

Aromatic nose of sweet red and black cherry, raspberry, mint, leather, forest floor and turned earth, which showed on the palate. Good, bright acidity. If not for lingering sweet cherry, this would be a dead ringer for red burgundy. Great stuff

My second bottle of this. Found it to be a bit more brambly compared to last year, still with mint notes and cherry. Recognizable as new world but certainly displays some of the Burgundian character littorai is known for. Well balanced and savory. Found the finish a touch short. Drink now

Limited notes, as this was consumed during an evening of tasting several. Gorgeous nose of violet, candied cherry and cocoa. Silky and soft on the palate, with slightly ripe fruit typical of the 2010 vintage. Clean finish. Absolutely lovely.

Popped and poured. Medium dark ruby; a nose with more spice and floral qualities than fruit, a bit atypical for Les Larmes which is usually all about sweet red fruits and very much Anderson Valley pinot. On the palate this has more weight than usual with that red fruited taste, though less sweet than usual. More complex; bodes well for the SVDs from Littorai in 2010.

Steve and I at late lunch at Bar Cara, had them decant it for an hour, nice fruit on the nose, the palate was cherries and fall roasted squash with a touch of cinnamon, medium body and a nice medium finish. A really nice pinot noir young but very drinkable.

Hamersleys's Boston, $70. Nice earthy and flowers nose; soft rich but light semi-sweet blackberry; round and well balanced with sleek minerality and soft smooth finish.

Fatness and richness seems to have lightened up since the last bottle 4 months ago. Still has the same core favors but leaned out a bit for the better.

Popped and poured at dinner. Initially came across as rather ripe with blackberry and black cherry with modest spice. Over 60 minutes the fruit became more subdued, baking spice came forward and the wine became more balanced and complete. Probably better in another few years.

Pop and pour. At first the palate was a bit thin and the nose was tight but after an hour or so of air the wine came together nicely. Nose has plenty of ripe strawberries, creamy raspberries. baking spice, hints of cool blue fruits and maybe some pomegranate. The nose is pretty much all fruit, super primary and wide open for business. On the palate the wine is pretty even front to back. Nice rich and smooth mouthfeel with maybe a bit of drying tannins towards the back end. The wine has some really nice richness and smoothness but isn't dumb or cloying in any way. A bit of acid, plenty of ripe red fruits with some oak spice on the palate. This is delicious and is ready to drink now, doubt this will improve with time.

obviously painfully young. big dose of cranberry up front. not yet in harmony, but i expect this will round out into something much nicer in time. i'll try another when the next offer goes out.

Tasted at the winery. Limited notes. Quite surprised - in a good way, as I wasn't sure what this wine is all about. Very nice elegant style. Restrained with perfume and floral elements. Good balance. Not as complex as some of Ted's other vineyard designated wines, but the price point is really nice. A good, young, wine for getting a sense of what one can do with Pinot Noir. Drink this 2010 over the next couple of years while some of Ted's other PN age gracefully.

Popped and poured. Agree with the very big nose. We tasted pine, raspberry, mint, and cocoa. Good balance and acidity, an extremely enjoyable pinot

No formal notes but this is just beautiful! Even better than I remember at the winery. The nose is just incredible, you could nose this all day.
