Found a bottle previously thought lost. Eight years later, and it's still bright and richly textured, with a brassy tone to the fruit I've found in other gringet. Not sure how much more this will develop, but probably not a bad idea to drink soon.

This really improved from the last tasting (3 years 1/2) ago : and this is fantastic. The mandarin and white flower is there, but with everything turn up a notch. Fabulous with Yuzukosho as usual with gringet ( like the Mont Blanc bottling for that matter)

Quick splash in my glass before adding a 1/2 cup to the soup pot, and it's a delicious splash. Plenty of palate richness, ripe tree fruit, bordering on tropical, and a clean, persistent mid-palate and finish. I like the depth here, as it can stand in for other full-bodied whites without being oaky or buttery. Drinking very well now, though with so little experience with these wines I cannot say what age might do for it.

Enjoyed quite a bit more than the last bottle. Mellow and tropical initial nose and flavors, good finish with moderate acidity. Somewhat weak in the mid-palate.

Clear and bright, light lemon straw, intense interesting, slightly oxidative nose, almond, peach, apple, minerally. Medium bodied, juicy, crisp, slightly bitter almond note, apple, lemon and quince notes, lots of minerals. This is delicious, vibrant and very complex.

I buy this year after year, and no reason to stop after this bottle. Very unique, with loire chenin focus and minerality but more round and perhaps full on the palate. Love what Belluard does with Gringet.

I really enjoyed it. This has the built and minerality of a 1er cru white burg, but offers interesting peach, honey and citrus notes on the palate. Very refreshing yet offering serious depth. Perfect wine for a hot summer night. 91+

nose - apple cider meets butter and perhaps very slightly oxidative in aroma mouth - full bodied, light caramel, followed by large scaled citrus and accompanying acidity to boot. the rich meets riproaring acidity makes for an interesting drink. if blind, my one and only guess would be to call it a white burgundy.

The last time I opened le Feu was last August, and this is really coming together in a gorgeous way, the wine seems more whole, if this means anything, now than it did 6 months ago, and there is a softness to the minerals that is just absolutely gorgeous. Not soft as in flabby, but soft as in the aromas themselves have this incredibly gentle and rounded way of presenting themselves to you.

This was a fabulous bottle. Opens with a yellow apple fruit, then the mineral side takes over. Feels concentrated and ripe despite the 12,5 abv. Fruit closes up but returns with extended air. Maybe shutting down? I think this could actually improve with time, but is very good, unique wine today. Loved it.

Golden color. Ripe peaches, nuts and hay on the nose. Upon opening, lots of peach and some vegetal flavors. Over time, a flinty minerality shines through and peachiness fades to background. A very interesting grape. Will open next 4 bottles every six months or so to see how it progresses.

Interesting wine and a unique varietal. Expressive nose of quince, white peach, lemon zest, acacia flower, cut hay, and nuts with a significant yeasty component. Ripe yellow apple, golden plum, and Meyer lemon palate with flinty minerals and some vegetal notes. Round and fat on the palate, yet with great acidity and minerality. The longer this was open and the more I drank it, the more I liked it.

Oh man this is tasty! I like this just as much as the Ayse traditionelle sparkler--it's got the same fat syrupy ginger and peach character, but this shows a warm yeastiness that I find alluring. The acid and minerality keep the syrup in check and hahyaaa you got yourself an awesome, new quirky wine from Mont Blanc.

I thought this was an excellent bottle. Very alive, fragrant, yeasty, a ginger note, green apple malic acid, full body but with nice cut. The fruit fades a tiny bit with air and the mineral side becomes more prominent.

Golden color. Nose of hazelnuts, whit flowers, tilia ? Some citrus comes after air. It has a quite fat texture, but no wood/vanilla taste, probably because of the amphora ? A slight bitterness at the end, with almost no acidity. Need to revisit in couple years, because the material is impressive. Much different from the Alpes bottling, and has a more Italian sensibility to it.

Amber gold. Nose is subtle, tropical fruit. Silky mouthfeel, apple, lime predominate. Lacks much of a mid-palate, with a moderately strong bitter finish, not particularly balanced by fruit. Ei and Julia did not like. I found it interesting but not especially enjoyable. With a medium spicy kung pao this was better than as a sipper. Interesting varietal, but probably would not buy again.

Delicious, lots of white flowers, a minerality that expresses itself in a unique way (very different from, say, a muscadet or something from the Jura). Great purity that makes you think of spring water.

this was a pleasant surprise - gringet a new grape to me. Round, a bit flinty, hay and cut grass, without the slightly acrid notes. Somewhere between a sauvignon blanc and perhaps an Austrian white, perfect with seafood.
