Medium straw in color with fine bubbles on the pour. Zippy acidity with flavors of apple, lemon drop, and toast. The small bubbles and slight froth to this wine are really nice. Snappy finish with relatively short length.
Not a complex wine, but it's not supposed to be. Disappeared quickly. Something I'd buy again.

Always enjoy this wine for whatever reason. It used to be a lot cheaper when I first bought it. It's just got a lot of freshness and liveliness and it's what inexpensive sparkling wine should be for me. It is serious enough without pretending to be something it's not, like a lot of the Californian sparklers on the market within the same price range.

Green apple and citrus. Crisp and bubbly. Not very complex and none of the toasty, yeasty notes I love. But fine for a cheap everyday drinker. Got this from Last Bottle for $14. Wouldn’t pay much more because there are far better choices in the $20+ range.

Pleasing red and green apples, citrus, preserved lemons, and minerals throughout. Creamy, frothy, and nicely bright and frisky. Lovely whiff of ginger on the finish.

A: Lots of citrus, ripe pear T: Lemon zest, fresh pear, tons of acidity
This is a fine everyday bottle of bubbles for the price. We paired with some fast food and it held up well. Stand up nicely against lower-end champagnes for better QPR. I would seek out again to have on hand.

Pale lemon in the glass, nose releases citrus and yeasty notes upon opening, dry, medium bubbles, crisp apple, lemon cream, stone fruit, canned peaches, white floral notes, high acidity, finish lingers. Refreshing sparkler, fantastic aperitif.

Fermented bath in my mouth. Nice balanced touch of sweetness. Shows different faces with each sip. Was better a little warmer; over-chilled, too bitter. Had it with a salad and roasted turkey.

Light straw yellow color with abundant tiny bubbles; pear, tart apple, light papaya, light chalk nose; tasty, tart pear, mineral, light papaya, tart green apple palate with good balancing acidity; medium-plus finish (60-70% Chardonnay, 20-25% Chenin Blanc, 10-15% Pinot Noir; 15 mos on lees; 12.5% alcohol; 6 grams RS; ph 3.2; composition cork) 89 points
Samples from Italy & France: Medium yellow color. Aromas show tangy lemon and green apple, with chalk, bread dough, biscuits, notes of verbena and white pepper. Crisp and bright on the palate, fine bubbles, nice salty kick with almonds, chalk, crushed shells. Green apples, lemon peel, lime and grapefruit, tossed with some slight honey and bread dough. Bright, light style, but solid depth, especially considering the price. Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Pinot Noir and Mauzac, aged 15 months on the lees.

Last of these bottles. This one has some rather small bubbles, but gets a little bit bigger as the wine warms. The entry is 3 parts sweet, 7 parts tart green apple. This is an exceptional 'session' sparkler. If you had three bottles of this in 100-degree heat, it wouldn't take long to drain 'em all. Almost seems to crack a 90, but doesn't quite make it there IMO. This one isn't going to get any better, so drink up if you have it!

The growers spent 500 years partying and forgot to patent the method. All growers but I think a cooperative wine. Into the foothills of the Pyrenee making CHardonnay dominate the blend and the Pinot Noir and Chenin. Citrus, fresh, easy going. The name refers to the longest running Marty Gras festival in the town and they've been doing it for a very long time.

This is not going to knock your socks off by any means, however if you were looking for a light-bodied, green apple with a hint of walnut, you have opened the right sparkler. This wine pours with tiny bubbles, settles down relatively fast. Enters with a crispness to it. Granny Smith apple with a dried Walnut type of texture. Is a medium bodied sparkler after it had 20 to 30 minutes to figure itself out. I think this one still has a little bit of growing up to do, but it is quite enjoyable now so I don't know what the concern would be with going Bottoms Up!

Much more of a softer flavor than the champagne I'm drinking next to it. More of an apple flavor and almost just a bit more clear that this comes from fruit. Given the enormous difference in price I'm not sure that I wouldn't end up ordering this over the Tattinger in a fair number of instances. Both are in the 'good drinking bubbles' that don't make me go 'wow', but are pleasant. From the Celebration Sparklers menu at Vino Volo.

Good bargain. Sweet ripe pears, soft yellow apples, with moderate yeast and creaminess. Great all-around sparkling and supported a variety of food.

Pale lemon in color.
Nose of limes, grapefruits, citrus, yeast, bread, green apples, minerals and sea salt.
Medium bodied with medium plus sized bubbles and medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with citrus, limes, green apples, grapefruits, bread, yeast, bitter herbs, spices and earth.
Medium finish with bitter almonds.
This is a nice sparkling wine from the south of France. Easy drinking with food or without. Nicely balanced with nice acidity.
I paired it with 3 different Caviars, Whitefish, red Salmon and Lumpfish. Very tasty and interesting to compare.
Made in the traditional method.
12.5% alcohol by volume.
89 points.
$17.
