As one Milwaukee Area Taster of Note, noted - it's not like they are bad. They incredibly well made, they just never seem to evolve. And that was indeed the case here. And now I've almost drunk through my entire case.

Some unusual tropical fruits here along with a flavor I struggled to identify. Nice balance and depth, just unusual fruit flavors that didn’t appeal to me.

Mineral, seashells, and mild oak in the bouquet. Rich white fruit concentration, at least for a Chablis, it shows very mild vanilla notes. Excellent harmonious balance and character. Excellent Chablis Grand Cru and true to type. Delicious now.

Finally! An amazing experience with this bottle of wine. A wonderful match for crab and fresh tomato salad. So darn good right now. Too bad I previously drank most of my case getting down to this bottle!

Patio Dining at Tilia on a Warm Fall Evening (Tilia, Mpls): Light green gold color. Drank a glass over an hour. Drank this next to the '10 Vaudesir. The contrast was dramatic, but both were fantastic in different ways. This '16 has so much vigor, tons of dry extract, oodles of oyster shell and ocean, Meyer lemon, vibrant an powerful with an impressive dose of brine on the palate. Wow, this is really good for being this young. 94+(+)pts.

Leo's btl tonight & I think it saw some air at home since the cork was already pulled and this performed great tonight! I own some 14,17 & 18 so fun to drink a Fevre Preuses vintage I don't have. This felt a bit more powerful than usual but that may be because it was flighted with David's more resolved & subtle '10 Vaudesir for a terrific flight. This left no doubt of its Grand Cru legitimacy. Light gold color. Waves of seashore and citrus waif from the glass. There is real intensity here with sappy lemon-lime, saline, apple and faint orange peel riding a Porsche like mineral infused driving acidity. This is at once harmonious & elegant but also authoritative. 94+ I love were this is heading but a pleasure right now too. Preuses remains my all round favorite Grand Cru site. Exceedingly fresh & healthy. Hail Fevre!

Drank blind next to the 2010 Fevre Les Preuses. DIAM 10. This was quite tropical and sweet on the nose at first which steered us away from Chablis, however with some time it really settled down and tightened up. Plenty of stuffing here, lemon zest, floral notes with gripping acidity and a touch of heat on the finish. Quite tasty but next to the 2010 this had some tough competition. With the security of these being bottled under DIAM I'd bury these for at least another few years before trying another

While really good, somewhat unfortunately kinda plain as a Preuses. And it's 2016 too! Would have thought it would have evolved into something super exciting by now. And unfortunately, I'm already halfway through my case.

Pale color. Very aromatic, aromas of chalk, seawater and salt jumps out of the glass. There's hints of green appel an lemon peel. There seems to be some oak here, but it's well integrated and does not overpower the chablis character. Full body, medium acidity, chalky and salty finish. Long finish. Incrediblely consentration and balance. This is still young, but it is delicious!

Really worth decanting for 1-2 hours as opened to to be rich ripe balanced powerful stone lemon grapefruit. Wonderful if you can decant and keep it in the fridge for an hour.

OK, here we go again. The water-like clarity of colour is almost a traemark of the Fevre wines. Very closed nose with hints of tart lemon, green apples and chalk. Medium bodied, distinctly citrusy in attack, mid-palate and finish, not giving much at all. The aftertaste is acidity, lemon, crushed stone and an almost tannic feel. Tastes like a wine for masochists. Will it get better? My experience with this domaine says "no", but for those of you having wines from Fevre in the cellar: you better wait. For how long? God knows.

France and Italy - May 6 to May 10, 2019: Complex aromas of citrus, mineral - stone and shells, white florals and eastern spices. Richly structured palate with complex secondary layers, a broad middle and excellent length. Outstanding.

Drinking better now - lots of lemon peel and limestone on the nose, much more depth on the palate. I'd still hold for a little while before the next one - maybe six months or so.

Tasted over 2 hrs -translucent light gold-green -mild reduction ripe yellow-green fruits bordering on tropical sea water -med/med+ acidity zooms in at the backend to give tremendous lift, med weight dripping with tons of sappy extract creates a full and round mouthfeel, complex intertwining of citrus cool ripe honeydew melon and salty minerality emerge with a couple hours of air, good but not exceptional length -full and round for a Fevre but still with great acidity and Chablis character, while this is young and has a lot of upside potential it drinks well now with some air, to my taste Les Preuses is not one of the top tier wines in the Fevre Grand Cru lineup but this vintage seems to be a cut above

Shuck Yeah! Oysters and Chablis (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Quite rich, buttery, creamy, ripe stone fruit over lemon, sweet spice, oak is very contained. Juicy, almost to the point of zestiness, butter, stone fruit, chamois burr on the mid palate. Fruit travels very long. Nice.

Crisper and cutting than the wine before. Clean and straight lines. Long, less density in the mid but given the length of the finish I bet it will flesh out.

I think the fruit is somewhat muted, but the oak aromas are showing. Just needs some time. Bones are there, beautiful palate, and balance. Acid is beautifully intergrated.

really very nice, right down the middle for WF Preuses, with the slight adjustment for 2016 (not as rich as some of Fevre's Preuses can be)
