A slightly darker hue out of the bottle perhaps from some Pinot noir in the blend. Nice and crisp and soft small bubbles. Has some bready/yeasty notes as well as notes of strawberry/red berry. A very enjoyable bottle.

It's good, but it also tastes like vomit to me. It's acidic. And yeasty? I won't buy again because I don't like that taste. But, there were several sips, an entire glass even, that tasted pretty good. But the first and last sips were stomach acid to me. We drank the whole bottle in about 2 hours, so it wasn't that bad.
It's golden. Really bubbly. Smells like musty fruit. Lots of bubbles, foamy. Dry. Acidic. Apple, pear but like deeper darker versions. Medium long finish. 12% abv is appreciated.

Our second bottle of this. This time Chako agrees with me that while quite nice, we do not like this as much as Dalys blanc de Blanc or Piper Heidsieck.
Actually there is nice slight notes of brioche and cheese on the nose, plus some apple like fruit, good acidity. A good champagne and one of the ones we like quite well, if not our favorite.

Chako likes this a lot. After Piper-Hiedsieck Essentiel probably the nicest we’ve had so far.
To me it’s a bit linear with good acidity and lemon / tart apple flavors but I don’t pick up as much yeast / brioche and complexity as I’d like on the nose and palate. 92.

Pale gold with very faint salmon. Smelled apple, brioche, and cherry, the last of which carried over to the taste along with fresh citrus zest. Strong acidity and persistent effervescence.

Green apple, bruised apple, bread thats a little shy on the nose. On the palate acidity and carbonation is high with a medium body and pretty much dry. Apple, citrus and again a little breadiness on the palate that was a little unbalanced against the strong acidity. Body and breadiness increased as the wine warmed up in the glass. Overall not bad but I expected a little more from Bouzy Grand Cru. This evidently didn't spend too much time on lees and only has faint signatures of Champagne.

Pretty solid champagne. It has scents of toast, bread dough, nuts and some vanilla. It has quite pleasant notes of brioche, some red fruit like a cherry or a cranberry. It’s refreshing, offering a bit of complexity for those who want some, but not too much that your father in law is scared away. Such a hit that most of the Veuve that was offered as well was left over.

Pale straw color. Fine, long lasting bubbles. Yeast, melon, and citrus on the nose. Citrus on the tongue and a hint of rose on the palate with a long finish. Medium acidity nicely balanced with the fruit. Not as complex as some, but very good value.

Much like my note from May 2016. Fine mousse, a hint of brioche, soft round fruit flavors of apple, pear, and a hint of lemon. Less acidic and sweeter than other Brut champagnes I've had.

This is a wine that is only available, as far as I know, from Total Wine (& More!) in the U.S. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Total Wine as they were one of the main reasons that I survived my 17(?) years in Philadelphia where I was held captive by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB). I made countless trips across the Ben Franklin Bridge and down I-95 to the New Jersey and Delaware, respectively, Total Wine locations. Every time I saw this champers from my favorite town in the region, Bouzy. But every time I would pass it over since they also carry one of my all-time favorites: Mailly Grand Cru (and it was usually $5-10 cheaper). Down here in Texas, though, they are around the same price and when they both went on sale for $50/2 bottles, I picked up a couple of these (since there were only a few bottles of Mailly remaining). Very nice, with excellent sparkle, a bit of yeastiness, and zingy citrus. The palate was equally delightful with all of the aforementioned attributes as well as acidity to beat the band. This will not replace my Mailly, but it is a wonderful substitute.

Chilled slightly and drank without pairing from a white wine glass in the evening. Nose: very faint. Bready with just a touch of chalk and the tiniest hint of overripe fruit. Taste: sour bread and rotten fruit. Very unfocused. Drinkable but tastes cheap. Feel: Large body for a champagne. Unstructured and flabby. Conclusion: a small step above Andre or Barefoot. I’m hugely disappointed.

I am not a big fan of champagne but have enjoyed Dom Perignon, Veuve Cliquot, and la Grande Dame. This was recommended to me as similar to Veuve and it proved to be so for us. Everyone enjoyed it, and it was a few dollars cheaper than the Veuve NV.
Medium bronze color. The nose shows aromas of cherry blossom, citrus, minerals, toast and hint of Apple. This is barley medium bodied on the palate with good concentration and real class. The medium plus length finish features a strong mineral element. A bit soft for Grand Cru...

The aroma has yeast and cherries. The taste has mineral, yeast, slight citrus, and apple. The color is light yellow. A bit high in acidity, making it a good pairing with fatty foods, but not unpleasant to drink as an aperitif.

Our toasting wine for the stroke of midnight. Magnum for 6. Pale yellow with fine bubbles. Nose of freshly baked bread and green apples. Taste is similar with sweetness of red apple. Nice mouthfeel and well rounded. Drank alongside a NV Veuve Clicquot and this was much less tart, nice balanced sweetness and overall more enjoyable to drink. Happy New Year!

Very similar to my last taste, it's a great Champagne, extracted citrus and passion fruit, very good acidity and structure with good balance. It will last 10 years or so, but drinks well now. Not really a value wine, but worth the cost.

Very strong, almost overpowering autolytics on nose. Calmed down after a bit. Better as it sat open. Good fruit, medium bodied, moderate mousse, good acid, strong minerality in the middle. Seemed lacking a bit of complexity and oxidative qualities that I prefer, but a solid wine.

Nice color. The elegant nose features fruit, toast, nuts, vanilla, and a hint of minerals. On the palate, this is structured and elegant with a lot of pinot fruit and toast. Thre is a good, long finish with excellent acidity keeping this refined and refreshing.

I'm always at a loss vocabulary wise for sparkling wine. Light golden color, with apple and pear fruit wise, and a touch of brioche. A fine bead and good texture. Nice minerality and very well balanced. All things were in harmony here. Really a very fine mid weight bottle of bubbles. Well done.

Straw-yellow in the glass. Nose of toasted brioche with berry compote on it, quite strong. Powerful flavor, similar to the nose, with the addition of some lemon-creme notes. Pinpoint bubbles. Full bodied, high acidity, great balance, very long finish. Slightly different style wine than the prior NV's I've had from De Margerie (this is the first bottle I've had with their new packaging -- the neck band is different); more chardonnay notes than the older bottles, resulting in a better balance and even more flavor/nose.

Light lemon-yellow in the glass. Strong nose of apple, pear, and a bit of lemon rind. In the mouth, the wine has a lot of berry notes; strawberry, cherry, with the citrus and tree fruit in the background. A touch of chalk, not too much toast. Full-bodied, with a nice harmonious balance. Long finish. Quite a nice bottle of wine.

Seemed to fade pretty fast after opening. I'd had this bottle (received as a gift) for several years however, so perhaps I just should have drunk it earlier.

Very similar to my last taste, it's a great Champagne, extracted citrus and passion fruit, very good acidity and structure with good balance. It will last 10 years or so, but drinks well now. Not really a value wine, but worth the cost.

Surprisingly good wine, nose of apple and bread, more apple on the palate with some passion fruit, quince, and citrus components that keep changing. Really nice wine with good length and balance.

Full bodied, nicely rounded style. Flavor attack begins with bread dough and quickly layers on stone fruits and talcum powder. Lime and jasmine emerge on the persistent finish.

Pale apricot yellow color. Soft, round fruit on the palate.
Not as tart as Veuve Clicquot, and a tad sweeter.
A pleasure to drink.

Not as good as a couple years ago. I am an acid-freak, yet this had too much, even for me! Some cirtus notes that were pretty tasty, but all in all only an average bottle.

Very excited to drink this wine for NYE celebrations, light straw color, abundance of tiny bubbles, nose of biscuit and yeast. Palate very effervescent, toast, more yeast, with slight green apple. Long finish. Was expecting a tad more from this price point. Not an amazing QPR.
