Excellent champagne! Previous reviews capture its profile. I think I very slightly prefer the Fourny CdC Extra Brut over this Nature, but it's a close call.

Three consecutive vintages; 20% from reserve wines. Zero dosage. 7 months sur lies.
On first opening very very dry tart focused. Too much so for my taste.
It needs maybe an hour and then a little fruit and bread notes emerge and the overall feel is a bit less bracing.
It's all very clean, nothing wrong here, but this is too extreme a brut nature for my taste (and there are several that I really like). Not a repeat buy for me.

It took some time to open up. It initially came off as almost too dry, not very much warmth or flavor. However, over time in the glass it began to reveal some apple and pear tones. All in all it was not the best bottle of Fourny I've had (and I so look forward to them), but it got better with breathing. Note to self not to drink this too quick; let it open up for a bit first.

Refrigerated. Lemon, lemon zest, chalk and yeast on the nose. As it warms, sourdough notes emerge.
Palate is a pillow of dry sourdough, lemon, sour apple and chalkiness in complex harmony. Excellent balance of acid uncommon to blanc de blancs (I'm looking at you, Agrapart) and a lingering finish. Fantastic and a favorite.

This is really nice, showing pretty aromatics of lemon peel, mint, white flowers, some chalky minerality, a touch of nuts and honey, with some more air also some yellow fruit (yellow pear and apple). It‘s medium-full bodied, with good persistence, has medium-high acidity and well integrated mousse that is supporting the overall impression of freshness despite the richness. Very good length. Excellent QPR.

From half. Disgorged 11/2016 Light slate golden with delicate persistent bead. Nose some honey, golden fruit, a bit mature but lovely. Palate broad yet balanced by a tangy acidity, yellow peach, some brioche, a mineral element. Wonderful. Especially with grilled pork chops, greens and rice.

What I wrote six years ago holds true now, “The weight and heft of this wine is amazing. Big, but not at all brawny, it speaks of strength without brusqueness, elegance without being foppish. Gene Kelly or Sean Connary would serve this wine. This is bone dry. Flavors of orange peel, coconut and nutmeg define the wine from attack to finish. However, a distinct chalkiness spreads out on the finish.” To that I would now add brioche as a distinct element. No RS in the dosage. 12% alc. For the weekend of pandemic Mother’s Day, we prepared Rappahannock raw oysters and grilled oysters with compound butters. Highly Recommended.

Not from a wine glass so not ideal. Straw colour. Good nose, rich but fresh, with apple, peach, and rose petal. Surprisingly soft taste, not nearly as acidic as I expected. Having said that, there's a good bite; a little bitterness, and moderate fruit. Rather chalky. This is pretty good, maybe at the upper end of its price range though. Light golden straw with vigorous bubbles, persistent bead. Nose yeasty tart peach, slightly nutty toasty golden fruit. Palate stony minerality, very clean lemony fruit, good acidity. Sharply etched, not flabby at all, but not overly lean either — well-judged clarity and ripeness of fruit.
Very drinkable, well-balanced; hard to see NV champagne being much better

Very pure chalk in this, with more flowers and riper fruit than the regular BdB. Salty-saline thing going on; evaporates in the mouth, light and elegant; excellent balance, super fine, mouthwatering high acidity and med+ finish. At the estate with Charles Fourny.

Again an excellent Champagne (now 5+ years of age after disgorgement). With interesting herbs, flowers and almonds it aged gracefully. Still very refreshing and dry backbone which is smooth around the edges. Will easily hold another decade. Monthly Tasting Group: Worldwide Chardonnay with Blast of Chablis (Oceanaire, Mpls, MN): Very light gold color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. Tart, yeast, subtle french bread, not overly stark given the lack of dosage, bright, moderate chalk based minerality, mineral driven, spiced green fruit finish. This takes a bigger bite as it warms up. Nice.

New Year's Day Champagne Celebration (Brad & Marcia's Place, St. Paul, MN): Same bottle as Chablis28, but I have a more favorable view I think. This was more stark than the Jacq 736, lacking more of the fruit to back it up and showing more overt chalkiness that seems to make a "nosage" wine even more blisteringly sharp. This was just on the edge for me, but I enjoyed it -- of course it didn't hurt that the oysters were ready then :) 89+ to 90pts.

Like many low dosage / no dosage champagnes, I still, "don't get 'em". Lacking what I must want... dosage! Thought I'd give this a whirl since I generally love Fourny. Glad I only got one. Others, like my buddy Brad, likely enjoyed this more and would score it higher. Paid $41 and wish I had just gotten one more the standard Brut Reserve instead.

Since I'm more into wine like champagnes I fully enjoy this pure expression of chardonnay. The bouquet comes with pear, hazelnuts and some brioche. The palate shows a razor sharp acidity and therefore good structure. Overall the wine is medium bodied and it should be interesting to see it develop for a couple years.

Opened dirt dry, with a hint of chalk and intense acidity. Chardonnay fruit flavors crept into the profile the longer it was open, and the chalkiness increased, while the acidity never wavered. The chalky-acid combination reminded me of Belliviere's Jasnieres Rosier, though the fruit here is unmistakably Chardonnay, and the fizz added to textural and flavor complexity. I liked this bottle very much, but would recommend decanting it for at least an hour, to allow the fruit-derived flavor dimension to develop, which makes a very substantial difference in how the wine presents.
Of the foregoing notes, drdebs best captures this wine's character, as I perceived it.

Ex cellar. Tasted with Charles-Henry Fourny. This is incredibly fresh and pure, powerful, uncompromising, but still manages to charm. Toasted hazelnut, bread, and apple aromatics lead into a palate that is dominated by minerals (saline and chalk). Brut nature, so there are precious few soft edges on this wine, but is intriguing for its austerity and gravitas (in a world of Debutante Ball bubbly bubblies, this one is a the vinous equivalent of a Dowager Duchess).

A silver moon paleness topped with the delicateness of lace. No RS in the dosage. This is bone dry. It is a dream with simply prepared oysters, be they raw or grilled. Citrus, orange peel and nutmeg on the attack. Mineral transitioning to chalk on the finish. Excellent with raw oysters and tasty with the grilled ones. Other than oysters, I don’t know what else you’d eat with this. 12% alc. With roasted oysters and oyster puffs. Highly Recommended.

True to it's nature, this champagne was done dry. Light in color, furious bubbles, the first flavors were crisp, clean, with fleeting fruit flavors. My biggest complaint though was the lack of any finish. It hit mid-palate and then disappeared.

13%. Pale yellow. Light nose of lemon. Very clean, bright and straightforward palate. Very little volume and struggling to find fruits. Too sharp for my liking. No depth and complexity to talk about. For a dollar more, I will definitely go for last night's BdB. A nicer purple and well design label though.

Bone dry and seemingly not near as mature as the other recent wines have had from this same mixed case. Crisp, lively and moderately complex. I enjoyed some of the other bottlings a bit bit more.

Medium yellow, frothy at first. Biscuity smell. Medium weight, quite leesy. Not much fruit and an herbal finish. I did not care for this. Usually, I find Veuve Fourny more crisp and bright.

Just a ordinary bottle of Champagne. Showing some notes of baking spice and vanilla due to the fermentation in oak. Not the worst in it's price range but not the best either. Horrible label too :).

Rubbery, oily on the nose. Palate is fresh, very dry, vivid, with strong acidity, almost sour and faintly tannic. Finishes long with a hint of chlorine/swimming pool.

Not profound or very complex, but really attractive and stylish.

The weight and heft of this wine is amazing. Big, but not at all brawny, it speaks of strength without brusqueness, elegance without being foppish. Gene Kelly or Sean Connary would serve this wine. This is bone dry. Flavors of orange peel, coconut and nutmeg define the wine from attack to finish. However, a distinct chalkiness spreads out on the finish. This wine No RS in the dosage. 12% alc. With crabcakes over ham under a creamed beurre blanc sauce as BBH joins us for the day after Christmas. 12.26.14. Highly Recommended.

From memory. Yeasty nose with a hint of strawberries, penetrating but elegant fruit on the palate with sparkling lemon acids, long finish. Delicious champagne. 50+17+17+7.

At restaurant Le Benjamin, Oslo. Dry and very pure. Lime, lemon minerals etc. No brioche, bread or jeast to speak of but still has some kind of almost buttery power or generosity to it. Elegant, almost discreet mousse. For me kind of atypical BdB, but a nice wine.

Very good nose, complex notes of blanched almond, biscotti and toast with green apple; palate has great energy and vibrancy, lovely balance, very complex flavours which unfurl to reveal a very refreshing finish. Excellent zero dosage Champagne. Very good value.

Maybe a bit of a connoisseur's style, not something you gulp by the caseload at the Henley Regatta, but the quality is nothing short of outstanding. Long, pure finish.

True to it's nature, this champagne was done dry. Light in color, furious bubbles, the first flavors were crisp, clean, with fleeting fruit flavors. My biggest complaint though was the lack of any finish. It hit mid-palate and then disappeared.

A nicer purple and well design label though.
