Very apple, nice bubbles. A little creamy in the texture and a bit sweeter than I typically like, but this is a good bottle for the price. Blind tasting with friends and some thought this was the nicer bottle of champagne.

A "méthode traditionelle" blend of Aligoté, Chardonnay, Gamay, and Pinot Noir from Nuit-St.-Georges in Burgundy. Aromas and flavors of apple, butter, lemon zest, pear, strawberry, and toast. A wonderful display of bubbles. A dry, tart, and clean palate with hints of bread, cream, and minerals on the finish. Medium body; medium toasting; and medium fizziness. A well-made crémant and a quality sparkling wine from France.

Really impressive. There seems to be some oak treatment, as a condiment, also pleasant oxidative elements, with still excellent acid, and a long lingering finish. Impression of Demi-Sec type sweetness, which stands in contrast to the Brut designation. Great QPR.

On the nose- Apple skin, pear skin, bready notes, toasted almonds, creme, minerality
On the palate- Apple skin mixed with pear skin, some bready notes with toasted almonds and a bit of light creme and a great bit minerality, the palate is focused and has great acid, the finish is smooth and focused, just a great bottle of bubbles at this price point

Always a dependable opening act, when there is no Champagne around (or when the company does not really care all that much…). Fresh and fine bubbles, especially given the price.

Another day, another bottle. Groundhog day, good stuff for what it is and for the cost. Always refreshing and very consistent. House bubbles @ my casa. Dependable and a fine aperitif if you are either out of or too cheap for (or have guests who can’t tell and/or appreciate the difference) the real bubble stuff from further north in France. Served as a cool down welcome number, before moving on to the real deal, the Pol Rogers, enjoyed tonight.

Apple and citrus notes. Industrial pastries. Few mineral hints too. Refreshing yet short in the mouth. Not a trace of high acidity, almibar sweet even, a defect for a brut? For what it was... A perfect mate for a roasted sucking pig.
Notas a manzana y cítricos. Pasteles no artesanales. Unos pocos toques minerales también. Refrescante en boca aunque cortita. Ni una traza de alta acidez, incluso casi dulce, ¿un defecto para un Brut? Para lo que fue...un compañero perfecto para un cochinillo al horno.

The wine is clear and bright with a pale lemon colour and presence of many small bubbles. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of lemon peel, green apple, peaches, cream, biscuits and hints of bread. The wine is off-dry in the mouth with a medium(+) refreshing acidity. It has a medium alcohol and a medium body with a creamy mousse. It has medium(+) intensity flavours of lemon peel, green apple, cream and biscuits. The finish is medium(+).
It is a very good quality wine. It has a nice fruit concentration well-balanced by the acidity, and a quite decent finish. It even shows some degree of complexity provided by autolytic notes, but not enough to consider it outstanding. Can drink now, but it has enough acidity and flavour concentration to develop a bit more of complexity in the 1-2 years following disgorgement.

Consistent with previous note. Very good qpr, and my definite choice over other cheap bubbly drinks from new world and sweet cava’s from Spain. The wine has develop quite allot since last time I had a bottle, from this same batch. Good balance with minerals showing in the background. There are some really good producers of Crémant de Bourgogne out there, this perhaps not being the greatest, but still. A nice drink from time to time.

A pleasant, zesty aperitif. The mousse is rather too obvious and disappears quickly. The nose is rounded, giving lemon and pears. The taste is medium bodied, dry and crisp, with a pleasant stewed apple and lemon flavour and a medium finish.

Sparkling wine course, part 1: Europe (Munskänkarna) (Stockholm): Some œil de perdrix in the colour. In the nose pear, red apple, some red berries, slightly sweetish notes and a hint of something I can't pinpoint but which is a bit unpleasant. Dry on the palare, not too concentrated, pear, apple, high acidity, fruity finish. A bit simple in style. 80-81 p. This was a bit of a disappointment, because it was the first time in a couple of years that I tasted it, and it definitely used to be better than this, both with respect to concentration and overall balance.

Nice wine! Grapefruit, biscuits and some pear. Approx. 60 % PN and 40 % Chard. Good alternative to lower prized Champagne & definitely beats all the non French sparkling "wanna be Champagne" stuff out there. After all, the grapes are grown in Bourgogne soil, and that says it all. Perfect as an aperitif and at 1/3 of the price of less good Champagne! Crémant de Bourgogne is a great champagne option, and there are a number of really good growers out there, that are much better than this, so check it out.

This is an elegant Cremant, made with all the 4 grapes allowed in Bourgogne. A vortex of bubbles in the glass, with notes of lemon and green apple. Clean on the palate; it lacks some toast, but it's definitely well balanced and refined.

Nice nose of Granny Smith apple on toast. Good intensity, more apple and pear with a touch of toast and dark cherry on the back. Good acidity, balance is excellent. Medium bodied. Long finish.
A great alternative to American sparklers, or an inexpensive alternative to Champagne -- I liked this as much as a number of the inexpensive big house wines.

Blend of mostly Pinot Noir along with Chardonnay, Gamay and Aligoté. Méthode Traditionnelle. Medium sized bubbles. Toasty, yeasty nose. Fresh green apple flavors on the medium-bodied palate. Nice acidity on the dry finish. More refreshing than refined, but nonetheless very good – this is a Crémant that can hold its own and compares favorably alongside many lower-end Champagnes for a fraction of the cost.

One of my favourite commercial sparkling wines, this has delicate tiny bubbles, an attractive pinot aroma but just a touch too much sweetness on the palate for its own good. An excellent value for 9 to 10 Euros and much preferable to most cheaper champagnes I have tried - on a level with (but of course completely different to) a premium cava, better than most of the crémant d'alsace I have tried. 86P today; over a dozen bottles drunk during the last 3 years in the range 85-88P.

Great everyday petillant. Straw color. Nose of chalk, lemon (and faint barn yard?). Very refreshing with lots of carbonation (a bit too much). Mostly citrus in the mouth, but not without some raw almonds lingering there. A great NV buy. Great for a crowd at only $12!

This wine was all about yeast on both the nose and the palate. A small amount of acidity managed to cut through the yeast on the finish, but I found it really lacking many of the qualities that draw me to sparkling wine (tart fruits, refreshing bubbles and acidity, creamy mouthfeel). Maybe this reaches its best value as a mixer for fruit juices?

Light straw color in the glass. Nose of green apples, a bit of toast. Flavors include the apple, toast, with the addition of some lemon and a hint of metallic flavor underneath -- not in an unpleasant way. Not overly intense, but quite enjoyable. Finish was solid, well-balanced. Overall, quite a nice wine. Good for occasions requiring lots of bubbly, or for the occasional mimosa or as a "just because" sparkler.

Frutas tropicais e traços de panificação no nariz. Em boca é leve, com boa acidez e frescor. Cremosidade relativa, devendo um pouco em volume. Final médio. Bom Crémant, embora o rosé da mesma linha tenha agradado mais.

Dry on the palare, not too concentrated, pear, apple, high acidity, fruity finish. A bit simple in style. 80-81 p.

Pretty mediocre. Fairly pleasant and inoffensive but not particularly notable. Bubbles were rather large.

Chronicle: Slight sweet lemon, grapefruit notes, creamy fine bubbles. Can’t beleive it’s a brut. Good, but liked the BdB best.

Quite a deep gold colour. A shade flat but pretty respectable.

Very nice, bright acidic sparkler. Great value. Not quite as good as the Perle d'Aurore.

Pinot Noir Dinner (Wino-dome): Bright and tangy, with fine bubbles and a nice minerality. This was a good way to get things going. And only $12.

Very refreshing and cleansing. Enjoyable, but a little too much carbonation.
