2 months ago I had a 2016 vintage. Let's see what an older brother can do to my senses . An hour in the decanter. Well, there are wines when you don't give a s#%§t about aromas, flavors, tannins, acidity and other "technical" stuff. You forget about it the moment you take the first sip And this wine belongs to this category. Highly drinkable with full enjoyment and 7th heaven location 🙂 But because I am at CTI have an obligation to share the basics about this wine. Very juicy, fresh, at its peak. The nose is greeted by a symphony of dark fruit, such as black cherry and blackberry, complemented by subtle notes of spice and earth. On the palate, the wine unfolds with a harmonious balance of ripe fruit, velvety tannins, and a touch of leather. The finish is lingering with soft spice, red fruits, and grippy tannins. Southern Rohne got 93 points according to the WA Vintage Guide. Outstanding. Early maturing and accessible.

Peppery red fruits, a little touch of marzipan and a little rare steak to the nose. Palate has more of the same and such balance; definitely baby C9dP here. Perfect foil for barbecued sausages.

Tastes like a nice ripe dark fruit basket sprinkled with pencil shavings.

Agreeable if one dimensional Cotes du Rhone not as much going on as you sometimes find with Coudoulet.

Perfect ullage, but a deception nonetheless. No mini CdP here, but an old, tired man. (alhough kept in a decent cellar). I hope it is an odd bottle.
