Drinking nicely with tons of runway ahead of it. Persistent notes of dark fruits, toasted spices, and meatiness. A deep wine that came across as younger than it really was. This'll reward more cellar time. A real pleasure to experience.

Popped and poured. This was still very vibrant and fresh. Great nose of roses and lilac, very intense and perfumed. On the palate, this had great fruit, concentration and a lingering finish. There was such joy in drinking this and people were fighting to have bigger pours in a killer line up of 02 Leflaive Grand Crus (all still young and fresh, WOW) 88 and 90 Krugs (double wow) and a Grands Ech. I was surprised that this was so open giving - it was a Jadot after all. But after about 3 hours this kind of retreated into its shell - so maybe it has many years left to go - but we caught it at such an opportune time.

No formal notes, but this was awesome! I'd say a tad better than the last bottle I tasted. Deep and quite complex with lots of fruit left.

Ryan's ESPN Birthday: Clos de Beze by RPav. That's already gonna win it for me.

Fresh and smooth, this wine has lost its rough edges and is showing well. The vintage was especially hot at harvest but this shows none of that heat.
