This was more of an interesting experience than a strictly pleasant one. Porty nose, lots of oxidized fruit. Some rosewater. On the palate, there are some bright cherry and rose notes. Recognizable as Nebbiolo--over the hill, but still with some life in it.

Brown Bag Double Blind Wine Dinner @ Caffe Portofino, The Falls, Miami; 3/20/2012-3/22/2012: - It's somewhat balanced with a medium body. Round texture with a medium finish - Alvaro's wine. Surprisingly showed life at age 50, but otherwise undistinguished.
