They are clearly on a roll at Grand Mayne lately. Even in this difficult vintage, the wine has more than enough black cherries, licorice, plums, espresso, and flowers to keep it interesting. Medium-bodied, soft, round and forward, this is going to be easy to enjoy on release, or with just a bit of age. Drink from 2025-2044.

UGCB tasting-Amsterdam 2021 Bordeaux 03-04-2024: A more dense colour than most of the other wines at the tasting, vanilla, a good amount of red fruit, tasty and with a balanced and fresh aftertaste.

(89-91 vvPunkte) Mittleres Rubinrot, schöner Glanz. Intensive Nase nach Tabak, dunklen Kirschen, Backpflaumen, auch rote Früchte, etwas Lakritze, aktuell recht stark vom Fass geprägt. Im Gaumen mit guter Struktur, einem markanten Gerbstoff-Rückgrat, das die auf den Punkt gereifte Frucht in Schach hält, der Wein hat durchaus Balance und eine gute, aromatische Länge. 2025-2040 (Verkostet "En Primeur" im April 2022.) vvWine.ch

UGCB Amsterdam, walkaround tasting so just short notes.: Red berries, herbs, juicy and round, good acidity and mild tannin. Elegant wine with a good length. 91 - 92
