PnP but drank best after 30 min and between chill temps and cellar temps. Out of the ice bucket, it was a little muted but as it warmed, voila!
A bit of ‘funk’ as in blue cheese (complimentary) on the nose led to a tropical fruit menagerie on the nose and palate. Melon, guava, pineapple, honeysuckle, key lime pie, some green apple appearing on the finish.
This was so good, I bought a six pack of the ‘21 during dinner between courses!

This is a clear light yellow colored wine. It has a floral nose. There's a complex mix of elderflower, green apple, lemon/lime, gunflint, and coconut on the harmonious palate. The structure is consistent and the consistency is silky. This is a medium bodied wine with balanced acidity. The finish is very clean. This is a good example of a textbook varietal Bordeaux - one of the best Bordeaux Blanc's indeed.

Key lime, toast, orange creamsicle, freshly-sanded cedar, vanilla, baking spice, pineapple, passionfruit, guava, bread dough, and just a hint of mostly-dried lawn clippings. High acid yet rounded creamy texture. Oak is clearly present, but not overpowering. High complexity. Long finish. Outstanding. Delicious. Tasted next to Mount Mary Triolet 2018 (also high-quality), and the Chevalier shined especially bright. Recently tasted the 2012 Chevalier, which barely showed signs of aging. The 2020 will probably continue to improve, gaining complexity through 2037, and likely well beyond.

This is a beautiful rich and floral white wine, full bodied—a kind of wonderful version of NZ Sauvignon Blanc except with better balance, structure and interest. It’s not quite as good as Smith-Haute Lafite’s white from the same region, but it’s very good.
