  Deep red, crusty deposit. Crumbly cork. Ah so to the rescue.
  Opened showing acid dominating both nose and palate. After an hour it displayed floral aromas and flavours. A gentle, long palate with the acid still running the show. Quite a chunk of oak. Recent notes suggested this had some years ahead of it. I would drink any other bottles I had (I don't) in the near term. Glad to have tried it and glad I only bought the one bottle.

  A really good showing. The nose has some bacon fat, violets, freshly tilled earth and briary fruits. The palate is calm and even, with plenty of savoury nuance. There's plant matter and berry fruits. It is silky of texture, with moderate weight and very nice balance. Drinking really well.

  Reminiscent of Cayuse actually, there's grilled meat, a wisp of smoke, some violets, peppercorn, just lovely stuff in early maturity.

  13% d'alcool, 100% Syrah
  Oeil : opacité 5/10, légère trace d'évolution (orangé) à l'auréole, forte visosité en parois
  Nez : projection d'intensité 5/10 dès l'ouverture et qui a évolué sans cesse sur environ 90 à 120 minutes avant de s’essouffler, fruité intense sur le cassis et la mûre, épicé avec du poivre et de la cannelle, floral, boisé fondu, venaison, bacon, minéral, végétal, touche balsamique, animal, légère dimension tertiaire comme de feuilles mortes et de bois mouillé, grande élégance, tout simplement superbe et invitant
  Bouche : sec, ample, attaque toujours franche et droite, acidité rafraîchissante+, tanins toujours charnus et fins, très belle prise minérale, aucun creux de bouche, amertume légère, persistance loooongue, rétro animale, végétale, minérale, fruitée, anisée, épicée
  Observation complémentaire : bouchon long et toujours en parfaite condition.
  Conclusion : En 2012 nous avions noté "L'horizon 2015 semble raisonnable, mais il est susceptible de vivre bien au-delà...", et il aurait effectivement pu prendre encore quelques années, mais il est probablement à son apogée actuellement, ou tout près. Le temps lui aura donné raison. Très très grand vin ce soir, complet, multi-dimensionnel, à la fois élégant et généreux, magnifique pour lui-même, superbe compagnon de repas par ailleurs. Et nous n'avons pas noté cette dimension éthérée qui nous agaçait en 2012. Faire un si beau vin d'un millésime réputé si difficile mérite une mention spéciale. Chapeaux bas. Une des plus belles Syrah que nous aurons goûté à ce jour, ni plus ni moins.
