Canon vs. Duffau-Lagarrosse 2009-2020 tasted blind (Fribourg): Dark garnet. Expressive nose. Rich, ripe fruit, pruney, cooked fruit. Extracted body, drying finish, overripe fruit confirms itself on the finish. I think they have tried to do more than the vintage could do. Not pleasant.

Impromptu dinner blind tasting session at Auntie Sim Restaurant in Damansara Uptown, Malaysia.
My bottle which I popped about an hour before dinner. Initial thoughts - declining but was told it could be in a sleeping stage. Re-approach after another hour - more fruits; plum, some blue fruit, tobacco & smoke but palate slightly thin with medium length finish.

Tasted after 2020. Good structure and overall balance, less impressive and showy for sure. A little thin and drying, especially towards the finish. Good length. Drink or keep. 91-93
