Rhone dinner with Paul Jaouen (Backstreet Wine Salon, Phoenix, AZ): Cola and mushrooms on nice/interesting nose. Medium-bodied. Tannins fully integrated. Fruit still hanging in there but I think we caught it at the end of its life.

mushrooms, Carmel, earthy nose. tartness in the mouth with poor mid palate but some fruit hanging on for the finish.
Caramel, blueberries, blackberries, balsamic vinegar. Fruit is beginning to fade. Mid palate is weak but ends with a nice elegant finish.
