A great way to celebrate the 150th Kentucky Derby. A smooth citrus taste through out with an acidic bite at the end. It was perfectly stunning in comparison to Dom or Krug with its unique profile. We will get this again… but will wait another 5 years for maturity.

Dinner with Paul and Jeff (The George Town Club - DC): Very precise, razor like focus, exceptional tension, clean cool fresh lemon citrus fruit. Lemon and granny smith, a hint of honey, rainwater and spice spices. Bright acidity, strong mineral, fine abundant mousse and a long cool fresh lemon and apple driven finish. It reminds me the 14 Chablis a bit, e.g. pure, cool and precise. It is leaner and cooler than the 12 and 15. A bit like the 08 but not as elegant but cooler and showing more tension.

Such a baby. If you can drink prior vintages, go for those. This will sing in a few years.

Fresh rich and open. Delicious. Maybe still too young.

Way too young IMO. Will wait at least 10 years.
