Consumed at a Barolo-tasting as a joker. This almost stole the show. What a great wine! Modern, hugely modern, but oh so vibrant, juicy and hauntingly intense with goosebump inducing Burgundy goodness of the finest kind. Kudos on a job well done in a less acclaimed vintage. In a very good spot, wide open and balanced despite all that is going on

The score is due to the almost genocide-like loss to its older brother from Chapelle (06).. However, this wine is a real thing of beauty but should be forgotten in the cellar for another 10 years.
This was delicious. Very very "cold" cherry and dried rose petals which is unlike the normal more voluptuous thick fresh rose petals found in Perrot Minot. Not as heavy on the oak as usually (which I normally like from this producer) - more chalky and stubborn/austere touch. This could indicate the wine should need at least another 5-10 years of cellaring to find itself. But if you decant for 8 hours before serving then you should be good.

Nice evolved nose of red ripe cherries, hint of animal... Integrated tannin, nice mature Burgundy

Opened 1 hour prior to service. A bit hard even after an hour, needed to be decanted. Nice intensity and lift.
