Clear pale garnet; clean medium plus nose of leather, dried cherries, fall cracked leaves, balsamic and mushrooms; dry; high acidity; medium minus tannins; medium alcohol; medium body; medium plus to pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of meatiness and smokiness; medium plus finish; drink now; beguiling nose gives way to a thinner palate; gracefully aged and still highly enjoyable; Tour d’Argent

La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (Pier Sixty - New York NY): In great Echezeaux flight, this was the star. Complex array of red and black cherry with earth and robust spice. Very good density, depth and length. Seamless start-to-finish. I haven't had this wine in at least a decade, but it is so much better now than ever before. No surprise, that is 1993.

Light brick. Nose of autumn leaves, leather, touch of barnyard, beautifully tertiary. Fantastically elegant palate, only Burgundy can be like this, elegant, yet present. Mature, drink up.
