Doesn’t get much better than this for me …. I always love csj and the 2012 didn’t disappoint. This wine left everyone licking their chops for more. Voluptuous fruit, velvet mouthfeel, intoxicating bouquet, and some coco/ vanilla flavors integrated. I want more ….

08/12 pair. The 12 is surprisingly generous, delicious and integrated from the get go. Awesome meat and spice intensity in a rich, chewy frame. Upside from here, but no harm opening as a ten year old which isn't always the case with 2012s.

Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys La Paulée Auction; 3/10/2022-3/11/2022 (Le Bernardin Prive - New York NY): Alongside the 2008. Fundamentally opulent with black berries and plum in front of roasted meat. A real powerhouse that is maybe getting close to its peak. Much better when retasted an hour after opened vs right away.
