Nose - 90. Full fruited, with notes of peach and apple. Palette - 90 - abit of peach, some apple, some astringency. The nose developed some complexity after 1/2 hour in the glass, but the palette did not change.

Found this one hiding, and happy that we did. Medium gold; grassy, green apple nose. Still some spritz and acidity. Herbaceous, mineral, green apple and pronounced grapefruit flavours. Worked well with garlic-lime chicken.

What a surprise, this bottle got moved in my cellar and I just found it. I didn't expect much from a 7+ year old SB. Very nice grapefruit nose, not as pronounced as when this wine was young, much more subtle almost like a grapefruit preserve with some background minerality. A very mellow grapefruit taste with a richer mouth feel than expected. The finish at first was very long but after having been open for a half hour it had shortened (or my palate had fatigued). (N.B. this wine was stored from purchase at 54 degrees.) An entirely different wine (and very pleasurable in a different way) than it was 5 years ago. Sometimes it's fun losing track of a bottle.

Zesty grass has given way to guava. Still very good but past prime.
