Very ripe and round. Easily accessible and on full display right now. Not overblown or anything but definitely showing some warmth. Some straw / hay detail slightly reduced above the yellow and citrus fruit. Lemon lime. Rich, dense, round.

Poured from Magnum: Extremely tight and coiled up immediately out of the bottle. For the first few sips I was mostly just feeling annoyed with myself for potentially opening this bottle too early. Fortunately it started to quickly open up and after 30 minutes was totally singing! Flinty citrus fruit, bright, precise and chiseled, with sharp acidity and a ton of energy. I'd recommend decanting this wine if you're drinking it soon.

Bought a couple in Burgundy last year, opening to test drive recently. The outcome is demonstrative of the change in style chez Lafon of late. Reductive and flinty, with the familiar touch of flowers, and with time, reveals the broadness of Meursault. Good acid too.

Rich, ripe, round, flinty. Lots of lemon. Good, but a bit hefty for a Lafon.
