Quick tasting sample. Giusto di notri 2010, siepi 2008 on the same tasting table were reduced to schoolboys next to this wine. Expressive, balanced, complete, rich, but with freshness of the cab franc. A real grand vin ready to drink now
The Paleo was the most expressive Cab Franc I have ever had. This wine had vibrant, beautiful cherry flavor with strong characteristic jalapeno/bell pepper flavor, but it was followed with an attractive candy vanilla flavor and a decently long finish. Well integrated oak. This wine had an attractive pop to it! This drank very well after sitting without the cork for 4 hours and paired very well with all food, especially meat (great match with the roast pork). This was the winner of the night, though is Cab Franc ever worth $75?
Incredible Cabernet Franc nose. Unmistakably Tuscan. Intense currant leaf, baked cherry, scorched earth, vanilla. Highly extracted and very concentrated. Quite full throttle on the palate. Not really my style, but it is what it is - a high octane full throttle Super Tuscan.
