Wine has a very Bordeaux feeling without getting there. Strong nose, balanced flavor, some dark fruit, some hints of cherry but without punch. For the price you can find better alternatives than this. The Tuscan Bolgheri's to my taste have better price/quality ratio. Will not purchase again. Still a little astringent. Time will eliminate that. Drinkable probably for the next 5-8 years.

Hosted a group of long time wine friends for a tasting N strong nose of green pepper, blackberry, graphite, vanilla oak P graphite, blueberry, blackberry, green pepper, ink, spice. F long in length, good mouthfeel and tannin, good acidity. Overall this really opened up on day 2 showing a lot more than the very inky primary notes on Day 1. Needs additional time in cellar 50+5+8+13+17 4

Epic Blind Tasting with Great Buds (Virginia): Cool nose of black cherries and blueberries mixed with tones of musky cologne, savory broth, tar, black pepper, some barbecued meat. Grippy and dark-fruited on the palate, with lots of smoky, earthy, olive, tar, and charcoal vibes. I really liked this and I did guess a Super Tuscan, but I guessed a 2015 Syrah/Merlot blend, not a Cab Franc. Really solid stuff that should age well.

Super delicious Cab Franc. Perhaps one of the better ones I have ever had. For some reason, It kept reminding me of a left bank Bordeaux Cab. Graphite, pencil sharpener, dark fruit, very present tannins, and long after taste. Great, great wine making. Decant this for an hour or two before drinking. Drink now and the next 10-15 years. 92p+
